You, I, and others struggle with FPS once you start to dabble anything more than just a couple vehicles and a simple gunfight unfortunately

I really do wish I could figure out the best way to optimize the map but I don't really play Gmod a lot anymore, Especially like I used to years ago.
Maybe sometime soon I'll get that itch to hop on Gmod and try to fix it.
Or make a new map

Thanks for the appreciation! I'm surprised this map got as much love as it did.
It took me a couple months to make this map and never thought it would get as many positive ratings and comments as it does.

But honestly in response to the performance issues, I lack a lot of understanding on deep optimization in hammer editor maps.
I remember when making this map watching tons of tutorials on things to do to help with that very issue.

I did almost everything I could. In the beginning there was probably twice as much environmental props than there are now (Trees, rocks, bushes and so on.) due to the performance impact.
I also intended to add many more buildings and stuff around the map to make it feel teeming with atmosphere and not empty.
However I kept running into issues with hammer editor itself crashing compile errors preventing me from adding anything new.

Underrated map, really well done, but I wish there was a more optimised version so the map lags less during NPC fights and vehicle chases. Maybe remove some of the trees? I have an Nvidia 3070 GPU, and have about 150 mods installed

Specs are Ryzen 5 5600X, RTX 3070 Ti, M.2 Samsung 980 Pro 2TB.

What mods do you have installed?
maybe something on your end is conflicting with itself?
Check your console when playing the map.

I don't experience the issue.
And haven't heard of the problem with those playing on my server.

There's some fps drops looking at the center of the map.

@Kirin77 Try typing "Buildcubemaps" into console
Maybe that'll fix the issue?
I've noticed sometimes there's shadows for props and playermodels, and sometimes there isn't.
It's weird.
I have screenshots of shadows working, and sometimes when i play the map they aren't showing

I really like this map, unfortunately my playermodel didn't have shadow/dynamic shadow :((

Thank you for the cubemaps in this map. It's not always I see good cubemaps in gmod maps so it's always really nice whenever I see it

and some guns and bombs and what not for those that want to have a war with each other.

@Natplayz Everything i used is packed into the mod itself, you shouldn't need to install anything.
I just listed credits to the ones i used models from for my map.
