Does anyone know if when you choose to become the Asylum Rebels if at some point after winning if it switches back to the old National Focus tree? i've waited a year in game and nothing is happening. I finished the national tree for the rebels

Not sure if I'm missing something or I just need to wait (or if another broke it I guess also) but I can't seem to do "securing an old purchase" focus because I am not neighbours to a missing tag? it doesn't say anything it's literally just "is neighbour of ____"

@The Gungis I had it working that way once and then it started defaulting to the scrapbot again.

I do not understand how the models work. If I did, I'd probably swap it in a heartbeat.

Thank you! I had one question, have you considered allowing the player to use the 'assaultron' unit look for it? I think it would be really cool if I could, though idk if that's even possible really just spitballing on that one :p

You unlock the units in question on either the centre route or Valerie's route (if she has "hardened") via the focuses relating to TV Town.

@Phatts Not really. Best I could say is the revolt scenarios are technically secret and have focus trees, but they're not fully formed or all that interesting.

@Mr Zoat The AI is generally very stupid in HOI4, unless you coach it to be better, which I have only loosely tried to do. I don't even really know what I could do to make the AI beat Lonetree consistently without making the Calm Asylum unreasonably powerful.

Everyone has a different experience too. One player posted a playthrough on Reddit where Maia conquered half the OWB world before they fought them.

Holy shit, what a mod~! Top tier writing, and the 'politics' management plus the multiple different paths have had me playing and replaying this nation over and over again. Thank you so much for the time and effort put into this mod, kudos all around!

A quick question, are there any 'secret' paths hidden in the mod? :winter2019happyyul:

Okay, so I thought that I'd do a Cedric playthrough to see what had changed, but it left such a bad taste in my mouth to play as an evil character that I then did a Julian playthrough... And then I noticed that Valerie could get Sophisticated Power Armour and Implant Technology. So I did a third playthrough. There are no nations with branching paths in the base mod where I've done that. The writing on this is very good.

The only bad part about this submod is the pacing. Party, that's the Legion losing the California so quickly these days, but in my playthroughs Far Son died before I could meaningfully attack them, Ouroboros look years and by the time I won the Legion was already dead. By the time I got to the bottom part of the tree someone had already unified most of Canada. Not really sure what could fix that.

Ah, found a bug. If you conquer the Sleepers and Ouroboros has conquered The Old Bones, then try to pursue peace with Hecate from the focus The Splitting of the Moon while at war with her, the focus Luna Trauma automatically bypasses. I suspect it was only supposed to bypass if you had agreed actual peace.

@Eis by sometimes i mean like two time :steammocking: after i taken the event to give territo after the war but in peace deals i take territory, i will not get force to give up after.

Not sure what the problem would be. Tested the event and I know it works, so if there's circumstances it doesn't work under, I can't really know what they'd be.

@Douchebaguette (Tom) Well I had it set up to add a country flag that bypasses the focus, but I just saw I might have neglected to add it in the case of them asking you to assist with The Old Bones, so that might be what happened to you, I guess?

so if you take pace with Ouroboros (event a split personality) you are just locked out of the tree? because then you cant do *Lunar Trauma* and then cant do *Tying it all together*???

I was wondering something about the update. is the: Rebuild the great works and sites of America! Refurbish ancient monuments like Mount Rushmore or pre-war marvels like the Tibbets Penitentiary just for Maia or is it for any other leader as well?

Hey, I just wanted to say the mod is incredible. I've always thought OWB was a bit lacking in the depth and amount of writing for nations, and this scratches that itch perfectly. Great work!

@zezia Valerie's take on "liberating oppressed people" is not so much autonomies like Julian does, but more removing what she perceives as unjust governments.

She has always been an aggressive and headstrong person, the type to assume they'll be better off under her new state. Whether that's true or not is a matter of opinion, and on her better path there's a case to be made. But when she does something like, defeating Standing Rock, her instinct is to administer the lands herself rather than try to invite old governments back and let them handle it.

Besides, if I had Julian and Valerie handle these things the exact same way, there'd be little difference between their paths gameplay, wouldn't there?

I am very interested in what you add to take into account for the new update.

I do have a question regarding Valerie's path. She is about liberating the oppressed people of the Wasteland but unlike Julian's path that doesn't happen.

A example. Standing Rock. In Julian's path you can get the nations that were annexed by Standing Rock to be released but in Valerie's path that doesn't happen. It just becomes new territory. Why is that?

@Mindfr3k24 Hmm, well, that's not a file my mod messes with. Far as I can tell that's something from the base mod, so I don't know if it's what's causing your crash.

It's gonna be hard to know what caused your crash honestly. Maybe if you sent me your error log on Discord? I'm Skellie there, with Mini Maia as my pfp.

Are you running any other submods? Have you looked at your error.log?
