it's not chinese, it's that you are using the regular windows notepad
L4D2, for some reason, puts some weird unicode at the end of every settings file for addons that create them which makes it so you can't view the file contents with windows' notepad, so you have to use something like Notepad++

I did look into it before when someone else reported the same issue. This addon's been out for quite some time and I should probably rewrite it now that I've sharpened my V-Script skills.

This addon is incompatible with "[Improved] Random Object Spawner (RNG)(BETA)" by MANACAT. When the latter is enabled, this script no longer works.

pretty cool concept, reminds me of halo zombies when announcer says ''LAST MAN STANDING'' and in some custom games indeed you'd get a boost sometimes.

Thank you for the help, I know everyone calls Windows 11 a buggy mess but I've never seen it myself.
I got Notepad++, used it, and now the mod doesn't work at all. But it still crashes the game when my team wipes.

also it's in chinese because vscript automatically adds some kind of unreadable unicode at the end of the config save file and there's no way i can stop it from doing that unfortunately

Is there a way to take away the lack of sound when using adrenaline? It sucks to have it with this mod since it can be like that for a long time till you find a closet.

Hello! I have an idea to make a sound epic, when you are the last man standing in the game while fitting a horde and/or tank. The music is the first 26 sec of the video in youtube with the title "The Matrix Revolutions (2003) Captain Mifune death scene (Battle for Zion) /Матрица:Революция (2003)" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqkYvM-MzoU&t=26s . However, don't know how to do it.

@anxiety Thank you for the separate text & sound update. Feels more immersive not to have "you are the last survivor alive" text. I guess for the sound we have to change it manually. Could just put walkingdead.wav in Audacity and amplify it + use the compressor.

I don't know but the script itself work fine when i delete the Random Object Spawner.
I've always play custom map and don't use it anyway so problem solved to me :steamhappy:

I couldn't raise the volume of the sound via vscript and couldn't fix the issue with the object spawner addon, even after I tried checking it's source to see what conflicts with this addon, sorry.

I was playing Lone Gunman with this on, and I got the LMS buff after killing a boomer. But then the buff is removed when another boomer appears.

I'm currently rewriting this addon from the ground up as I have become way better at V-Script. I'll try to make sure the addon works when I release the update.

As other people have said this conflicts with random object spawner which i like using a lot, hopefully there is a compatibility fix in the future

Okay quick update, the mod finally worked when I tried to remove more scripts that I was using. To be more specific I removed the "Random Object Spawner" by MANACAT. However, I can't say the same for those not using that specific scipt by MANACAT but it worked on my part.
