@lukeh_ro Possible bug (or me misunderstanding something), but when one of the dogs inflicts "A literal frost bite" on a colonist, they get +60 manipulation per bite. Seems like it should be -60 manipulation?

For some reason my colonists are unable to unlock winemaking research even after harvesting the local cactus fruit.

Also: @mantastic you can get grain from the trees that look like Teaball trees.

Small suggestion. Since grain isn't possible to unlock without a survivor that knows it, it also prevents the unlocking of grain based Distillers and Antibiotics research, which can then soft lock other research in other mods dependent on them as prerequisites.

Perhaps either change the existing grain based techs to require seeds via property changes instead of having separate ones, or add one of the two grains as discover-able so their techs can be researched?

And on Alba or Glacius, the mod Oasis try to put an Saltu oasis (with modifications on Alba) in place of local one.

Sorry for the late reply. I've been busy with work and haven't been able to play much, and the "New Earth Tech" mod update has prompted me to start a new game.
In practice, two heaters are enough to raise the temperature from 10 to 20°C. I've never exceeded 20°C in a greenhouse on alba. However, I'm unable to measure the effectiveness in terms of growth.

Boilers on wood have chimneys but I think that those are not showing indeed.
You can place heaters but the insulation will make them rise the temperature very high, like in a carbon room.

Good evening, I'd like to report a bug.

On soil or a hard surface, no problem. The problems arise when the greenhouse is placed on a roof. It is no longer possible to create certain elements underneath, particularly those related to the water mod (showers in particular).
I especially had problems getting the builders out. They got stuck and wouldn't use the door. It's impossible to place an elevator underneath. To access it, you need either a ladder or a teleporter mod.

I also have a question: does adding heaters work properly? I would like to boost my crops, and I'm not sure of the result.

I have identified the reason for my problem myself. I have used the mod "Grow Hydro Cristals" and because this name has overwritten the original one (i suppose), the normal plants disapeared...

I have tried to play with Glass and Greenhouse, but I encountered a problem with the silicon plants. In the past there were many of these plants on Alba but actually I am unable to create a starting area where they occur. Have you changed something?

I quickly tested the update and can happily report no more lag. Will give the map a proper playthrough later but the problem seems to be fixed.

I updated the mod to fix the lagging when cutting trees. Check that steam updates the mod to the last version (1.34-020) or verify game files to fix that if it doesn't happen automatically

There's nothing showing a problem in the log but I think indeed the terrain change when cutting the plants are causing the glitch, there's some small hiccup on my system too but quite insignificant.
I have some change that seems to fix it but I need a bit more testing, will update the mod in a couple of days and will leave another comment when doing that, otherwise there should be no persistent problem if you can live with it until then.

Regarding the cutting, hmm... I added recently the terrain changes around the trees but I didn't notice a lag on my side

I was running the terrain mod but have disabled it and still get the problem even with a new game. I'll try uninstalling it later when I've got time.

I've noticed the lag happens when I order a character to cut something down it lags then goes back to normal. Tried mining and that didn't cause any lag.

The log files are showing file not found errors.
Is there someway I can send you the log file? I tried pasting into a new comment but it's too big.

Just an update on the lag. I loaded my save and played for a couple of hours with minimal lag, occasionally noticed it when moving the screen around but not a big problem.

I was able to replicate the problem by starting a new game and queing up a lot of cutting and mining jobs which caused it to lag really bad again. Happens everytime I start a new map and do this on Alba. You can see everything stuttering every few seconds.
Tried the other regions and no problems with them.

Bit confused why my current game seems to be running better now though. Will update if it gets bad again.

@lukeh_ro yeah sorry I was half asleep after hours of playing and missed the description about the crystals

I upgraded my system recently 9800x3d, 5080, 32gb memory so don't think that is the issue.

About the lagging, hmm... Geysers may need a bit heavier processing than usual vanilla map props but didn't got other complaints till now. Is your system on the lower end of requirements? I may look into adding some settings to disable their steam or something...

I was playing this map last night and have the same where I get random lagging every few seconds. I don't get it on any other maps and tried turing down my graphics settings which made no difference. I disabled all my mods which I thought fixed it but came back again.

Also noticed a couple of other issues:

After observing Enegy Crystals it doesn't unlock so I can't plant my own.

A very minor bug I noticed is when discovering the Berrycone it says you can harvest Beefberries but shows the syrup icon instead. Doesn't impact the game in any other way as it gives you beefberries when harvesting.

I found a way (elegant, imo) to solve the "all plants dying in the first winter during cold snaps": I reduced the damage they take per day from 40% to 15% so they should survive 7 days of cold wave...
Make sure steam updates the mod to the latest version (1.30-16) or go to game properties in library and verify the game files

Figured it out what was wrong. There's an odd effect in the mod editor that makes some unwanted changes to be saved and published....

I tried that MommyDearest . Unsubscribed everything, verified, resubscribed to only Alba, re-uninstalled everything, erased any last trace of the game on the computer.

Current save has other mods enabled lukeh_ro, want that log anyway? (I assume it's the one in Appdata/roaming/Stranded/logs that you want)

Re uninstalled everything, hunted down anything Stranded-dawn related on the computer, did a registry cleaning of Haemimont/Stranded Dawn, reinsalled the game, resubscribed to only Alba => Still no grain on the trees.
The thing is, I don't remember having the issue the first time I played with your mod a couple of months ago. Have you made change to the plants that might have caused the issue on those trees?
I'll use them for wood I guess. It's not really game-breaking, just makes getting grain a bit more challenging :D

Well, I unsubscribed from everything except Alba, still no grain on those trees. Unsubscribed fro Alba, uninstalled the game, re-installed, re-subscribed to Alba, still no grain on the trees o_o

I'm very curious what it conflicts with. I mostly tested with my Flour mod enabled but also without and seen no issues. I don't know of other mods changing related stuff but if you figure out which I'll look into it.

I think the Frost Trees are supposed to give Grains? I see the line "harvestable yield" in their description, with no ressource/food mentioned underneath, and when I set someone to harvest them, I see the harvesting animation, but nothing is produced. Is it an Alba-issue or a conflict with another mod?

Terrain Recovery mod was updated and plants recovery should now be ok for Alba.
BTW, even before should have been OK just to disable plants recovery from main menu before starting new game than enable it once the game started.

The effort on my side would be huge.
I'm currently playing a game on Alba and during severe cold wave on winter when they I relaxed and only those with severe hypothermia I drafted them and moved them near the bonfire till they could relax again. I didn't lost any of them.

Hi again. I was wondering if it would be possible to separate the relaxation effect and the warm effect from the bonfire? I have people with hypothermia who wont warm up because they are already relaxed.

Im not sure. I just disabled all of my mods, and deleted all of my saves, and verified the files, and then enabled the mods again, and it works now.

Im pretty sure this mod was working correctly when I first started using it. I remember them harvesting grain from those trees. I didnt notice that nothing was actually getting harvested until a few days ago. Im trying to think what other mods that I added after this one that couldve messed it up, but I dont remember. I am constantly switching mods around. I probably need to go through my whole mod list, one by one. Im not looking forward to it.

Note that new mod Better Torches was added and recommended with Alba, changes to torches to provide heat were removed from this mod.

As far as I can tell mods are loaded in the order they are enabled but I may need to know what's the other mod in conflict
