Adding years is easy, the question is how to determine the date.
Unfortunately it is difficult to simulate astronomical factors in this mod, so the dates have to be simplified to some extent.
I'll try to think about it some more, but I can't promise anything.

Should do one for the Roman Calender as well, which counts from the (legendary/mythical) founding of the city of Rome (ab Urbe Condita).

You are not wrong about regional variations, but Vikram Samvat is the most popular one.

I have resources for Sindhi culture calendar if you wish to implement it in the future.

However, this is difficult as there are many variations across regions and cultures in India, and the calendar system is not simple.
