I'm late to this because I haven't been playing left 4 dead much but I can't believe you actually fixed the black parts of the guns. Thank you so much this takes the mod from a 9/10 to a 900/10! Great job!!

I see. While that does suck to hear I completely understand. Don't worry about you taking a while to respond - I appreciate the response regardless. It's still an awesome mod and as look amazing even with that small issue! You are absolutely right by the way that shotgun mod DOES correctly apply the texture so that does mean it's not a texturing issue but rather a model issue. Frankly, I'm not so surprised - even the default L4D2 weapon world models are often broken or have various issues.

@OMGkawaiiKnight -- Apologies I missed your comment! This is something that I also get on some of my weapons. As I understand, it's down to the quality of the world model. In the base game (presumably down to save GPU memory or RAM) the world models were slightly less detailed than the ones in your first person hands. Things like buttons or screws on the weapons were removed on the world models which is why you see the black parts as there's no texture underneath these. I think at the time these textures were designed without that in mind so this wouldn't have been an issue. You made me want to make a L4D1 2007 beta collection, thanks, and also, is this for all L4D1 weapons if i can Ask?

I have used this add-on after removing my mods AND restarting the game and unfortunately it was still black. I mostly tested it on TUMTaRA however this issue also happens in No Mercy. I'm unsure what could be causing it however if this isn't a problem for you then it must be on my side... although I'm unsure of what it could be if it's not a workshop mod conflicting with it?

These are screenshots showing the view models and world models in TUMTaRA, the view model is correct however as you can see the world model seems to be partly broken.

@OMGkawaiiKnight -- How strange! I've never had this issue or heard of anyone else having it either! Which maps are you playing? Have you restarted the game before using this add-on?

Hello! I have a question about the world models - It seems like they have parts which are pitch black which I assume are broken. I've made sure to test it under various conditions such as removing all my mods and only downloading the required mod along with this and they're still pitch black. This is not the case with the view models, they're perfectly fine and look amazing. Regardless I really love this mod but was just wondering if you were aware of this and were planning to fix it or not. Have a great day and thank you for this wonderful mod!

@KAWAAAAHHH -- glad to hear it's resolved! Could have been down to the vanilla game, the original models were very over reflective for some reason

i somewhat got it resolved by subbing the required addon, seems to be ok now :V

@KAWAAAAHHH -- that's odd! There's nothing in this add-on that effects thirdperson or the model so it'll be down to other add-ons you'll have installed. This is no more than a basic texture replacement

@Dropkix -- if you were to have them side by side with screenshots of the originals, they'd be very noticeably different. Essentially they're textures from early development of the first game, and they're a lot more weathered, with scratches and rust etc.

So what exactly is the difference? Because the screenshots aren't telling me much with all the film grain
