Anyway about the rest of the weapons, oh boy...
Ember Celica works very well because the weapon system and semblance can be simplified.
Crescent Rose would need stances to mix up mobility and melees attack, on which the ARC9 base melees are limited to a hitmark and not the same as TFA base.
Gambal Shroud is a pistol with some melee and grapling hook, less appealing of them all and difficult to make it unique usage compared with other generic weapons.
and finally Myrtenaster, i'm considering on making this weapon, but the amount of work needed to make it accurate to the series, very versatile, make all effects and new effects for created new moves and animate it for First and Third person its really huge.
(also on a side note do you see yourself open to commissions for addons sometime in the future?)
Feel free to say anything since it have been very quiet here.
i have been thinking about making Myrtenaster for a good while actually, but i still lack knowledge for it, the entities part is the biggest one, the next is the gameplay of the weapon, since when i made the Ember Celica, then playing ULTRAKILL and right after playing the Ember Celica again, it felt slow despite being already fast.
For now, i dont see any help is needed and even so, [ARC9] is easy to create weapon on it, the problem is when you make a weapon that isn't normal.
Just one thing, how to get rid of the credits?
Art takes time, If you need to, take a break, not saying to press yourself, I would just like a good experience above all else. I can wait for that.
The idea of light/heavy attacks grabs and slams sound so cool but very time consuming, maybe some other addons can add up these things.
The slug shots is in the gun too, but still on the works and is a ammo attachment, i may consider the toggle part.
Having an unique base would be great, but it would take a long time of development on which would take my momentum away.
I could imagine fun playstyles for a lot more...
I think you should try to work with someone to make RWBY Weapons that are they best that they can be.
I don't think ARC9 is suitable because it's geared around more standard-feeling guns, Ember Celica and I imagine a lot of RWBY Weapons need their own bases because it should allow them to escape the shackles of feeling like standard weapons and should let them show their style.
I'm talking at close-range, plowing through weaker enemies with light & heavy attacks combined with grabs & slams, but when up against stronger foes, it lets you beat them down in a satisfying way while also working around their attacks.
I wouldn't forget about Ember Celica's ranged slugs which should be toggled that allow the player to tag enemies out of Melee range and pick off annoying foes.
When melee attacking Airborne enemies, the player should "lock" onto them (read, temporarily attach to the enemy) to make combos easier and also be able to rebound off the enemy for cool stunts and to be able to jump onto following aircraft or perform an explosive slam onto their friends on the ground.
Feels bad man.
Concept-wise, Yang was my favorite out of all of them and she was squandered so fucking hard, so much so that Her Boyfriend was unpersoned out of existence and she was attached to Blake because RT became so soulless, twisted, and evil it tried to appeal to fans.
I would really have liked for the GMod community to use things like WiltOS with amazing custom weapon bases to just bring the thrill RWBY was supposed to enchant onto its viewerbase.
Theres Crescent Rose archived too, but really requires a remake.
I dont have enough experience on .LUA to make its own base.
I loved Yang as a concept, sad she got beaten down by bad decisions within an inch of her life within a dead man's broken down golden child.
(Also instead of ARC9, I would rather this weapon be built on its own base to allow much more freedom in terms of weapon stylization and function.)
