I ran into a similar problem with missing grass sprites, I couldn't find anything in the console about missing textures but there's a string that read as "Couldn't write map.pack to mount embedded content!"

@Halsi can you provide a screenshot of the console? it must list some missing textures there. I'll try to see what the problem may be in the meantime
