it should work as it did in the past. i tested it a lot of times to make sure it is working before uploading. just follow the instructions

i originally owned and used the community mod before the workshop update and loved it, my original mods i had dont work anymore so i downloaded this workshop upload of the same mod but it just isnt working the way the original mods did, all the cars loaded and look great but they all have the same sound and stats and they are all so slow, cant load the custom tracks or customise the race options, i like this update and this upload has great intent but cant help to feel like it just isnt the same anymore :(

Make Sure to Hit save after ticking the mods and correcting the order

I did it step by step but i cant switch between new and old cars. it just change car color as usual. but it might be just a bug on my side so who knows

make sure you have set the correct install order and remove any mod that can conflict such as car mods that doesnt have anything to do with this mod, install just all parts and see if it boots fine then. in case it still crashes just tell me the error code
