For some reason, picking up a melee & then picking up the empty pistol always replenishes it

If you run out of ammo for dual pistols / magnum, could you set it to remove those weapons and set you back to only the single pistol / cs:knife? I imagine the single pistol is hard coded and that should be the acceptation for infinite ammo

sorry man, dont know how to implement it but you can only restock by grabbing another pistol for now.

can you make a version that allows you to restock at ammo piles please?

The pistol interface does not display the amount of ammunition remaining.

Its limitation that you cant see ur reserve but ofc i did some testing before release so it does work

I like the idea of limited pistol ammo, but since it's supposed to be infinite to always allow the player to have a way to fight, I think closer to 999 ammo would make sense.

Also, not being able to see how much reserve ammo you have makes this mod feel like it isn't real. Unless it wasn't working for some reason

would be cool if you could some how have the pistols(s) "ammo" reserve use the chainsaws gas bar. that aside, I dont think this works with the drop mags addon, which is a shame I love this idea of being punished for reload spamming. (until I see the bots doing that exact thing)

since it wasn't able to work correctly, how is this intended to work? do you revert to your single pistol with inf ammo when you run out of ammo with your 2nd pistol / deagle? or is this more of a glorified bashing weapon until you get a new weapon? I have break melees as well so I guess as long as I have a melee weapon and "break" it, i'll have the single pistol back if its the former

well i kind of move on from scripts and do scripts rarely and i can only do is edit preexisting scripts and that require making one from scratch so yeah cant do that too

I'm no coder, but I thought of a way to get around the lack of ability to see your reserve ammo. What about a way to "check" like No More Room in Hell, where the player can hold down the reload key (likely while they have the pistols out) and their reserve ammo will be displayed in chat? Or perhaps a little game notification that says "X pistol rounds" either upon reload or every time you "check" by holding R.

are you able to make a script where you drop the ammo from your magazine when reloading while there are still bullets in it? instead of adding it back to the reserve? idk cool idea and made me think of it bc this mod involves ammo lol

ngl its a great idea to put a ems file for people to put the ammo reserve they want and also its possible for it to be refillable via ammo piles, devlos' m60 and grenade launcher fix can do that, but apologies im not a skilled coder and i can only do what i can do with my current abilities, maybe ask a skilled modder and they might make a better version of this hopefully, as for the visible ammo reserve for pistols is probably a game limitation or hardcoded unfortunately.

i agree with absinthe, also, is it because of your modding limitations or the games limitations that we cant get/see an ammo reserve for? not being able to see what we have left really downgrades what could be one of the best mods on the workshop tbh
