Kay. What’s the next chapter you think you’re going to do all-new music for?

Primarily the ambient/atmospheric tracks for now. I've taken a break from making mods but I do plan on coming back soon(tm) to resume the series.

Do you plan on replacing the whole OST, or just the longer ambient tracks?

I can agree with that for some parts of the game. I created the Alternate Blast Pit music replacement mod because I felt this with Blast Pit 3 - it's very dramatic and out of place for my taste.

While I think Black Mesa's music is very good, I feel it's far too dramatic for the places in which it's included and the game as a whole, but if you're going to make music that's coherent with the rest of the game's tracks, this is pretty much as good as it can get.

Black Mesa's OST overall is more "in your face" so I didn't want to deviate too much from that. I also did not want to reuse tracks I've already used before, Vague Voices was used in my alternate main menu tracks.

Pretty good, but I think you went a bit too far with it.

"Vague Voices" was definitely eerie, like, it gave you the vibe that something is gonna go wrong but wasn't so over the top that it didn't fit the (mostly) mundane tram ride. However, this track feels far more "in your face" (for lack of a better term) that it feels out of place.

With all that said, though, I feel like if you just tweak the track a bit to more-so resemble "Vague Voices" it would genuinely be perfect in my eyes.

I might replace action tracks after I'm done with all the ambient stuff I currently want to remix.
