I personally have no modding experience, but if you feel comfortable with posting your version (Unbalanced as it may be), I'm sure a good amount of people would end up trying it out. Also, many thanks to @莫拉 for making an up-to date version. If you hadn't made this, I wouldn't be using the mods anymore. Cheers to you both!
I would love to see the effects, and I know if it's possible or how difficult it would be but maybe add integration with one of the modular weapons mods for the different tiers?
true but I kind of feel like it's a bummer to have so many options and not give them use but if you want to simply use them you can check the old patch that was linked, while I made the patch I checked the code of that patch and I don't really see why it shouldn't work (didn't test it) except, maybe, not having tags but you can easly add them if you want, just copy from the alike guns in the CE mod folder and paste them into each weapon.
To be honest, I think most people are usually looking for mods like these not for the stats, but rather the weapons and VC immersion. Whatever gets the job done for a CE patch is well and good for me.

1. My artistic abilities are very limited and I'll probably will only make small edits on the NATO ammo in CE with no difference between tiers.
2. The moment you upgrade a weapon all the ammunition from the last tier becomes obsolete.
3. Limiting to only three types would make some weapons usless, for example, the only difference between a gallian rifle and a gallian sniper would only be range that in rimworld map sizes makes not much difference as gallian weapons all have high range.
Hoping for ideas and suggestions from everyone, also the reason that I limit it to three types is my patience, if someone could make the art edits for a bigger variety I would gladly make the coding part.
My ideas would be to make three types of ammo, Gallian (Low damage, but weapons will have high accuracy and long range), Federation (Balanced), Imperial (High damage, but weapons will have low accuracy and range) each with three tiers for weapons.
