I assumed the mod had code that set the sunset/sunrise in real time.

sjmills

what do you mean by including all the data for the year? It is impossible to do that since the enviroment file only reads one day and not all the days of the year... so yes the file to match the current day of the year has to be updated every day
sjmills 26. sep. kl. 12:25
I didn't want to read ALL the comments, but why can't you just include all the data for a year in one update? Sunset/sunrise data is available for every day of the year, in every time zone, plus DST changes. It seems odd to update a mod every day when none of the data that is known right now is going to change in the future.

You are right, SCS workshop uploader mistake while changing to 1.56 temporary. Should be sorted by now, apologise for the mistake,
JerriTheInsane 19. sep. kl. 4:00
Hi sorry, was the wrong mod folder uploaded, this appears to be real fuel prices. not real life day and night duration lol
kworey  [ophavsmand] 17. sep. kl. 15:51
Naso

No worries, nothing was changed in terms of my mods from 1.55 to 1.56 so yes everything is working as intended :steamhappy:
Naso 17. sep. kl. 11:05
Sorry, was another mod, yours works fine with 1.56.
Thanks again for your work.
Naso 17. sep. kl. 9:50
Hi kworey, and thanks for theese mods, but the real life time mod seems to not work on 1.56.
The real price works fine

not sure if it is this mod or your other Real Fuel Prices mod, but when using both of them, it causes an issue on certain roads in Iowa DLC where the speed limit appears to be in KMH instead of MPH. This results in a speed limit on the interstates where it should be 70mph showing up as 43mph due to the glitch. Im browsing through both mods files now to see if I can pinpoint the problem and correct it.
francisdcal 12. juli kl. 1:55
thank u for this and the real prices mod bro
kworey  [ophavsmand] 7. juli kl. 17:18
adambeyer

Yes, it works on 1.55. There was no changes on this area
adambeyer 4. juli kl. 14:25
pour la 1.55?
hicks936 17. maj kl. 18:09
ok cool thanks
kworey  [ophavsmand] 12. maj kl. 20:12
hicks936

For accurate localized sunrises/sunsets yes.
hicks936 12. maj kl. 12:55
does timezones have to be turned on to work
kworey  [ophavsmand] 12. maj kl. 4:34
BobbPenn

This mod doesn't touch anything related to fuel prices, that's my other mod and it is working fine i just checked.
BobbPenn 11. maj kl. 12:24
looks like this update somehow screwed up fuel prices for me, $0.00 showing. Everything back to normal when it's off
kworey  [ophavsmand] 9. maj kl. 19:00
xJohn0090x

Yes it should work, make sure you place it above. The only thing that can affect this mod in terms of sunrise/sunset accuracy is the map itself
xJohn0090x 8. maj kl. 20:21
For anyone wanting to use a 1:1 timescale like myself,

https://truckymods.io/american-truck-simulator/game-economy/11-time-scale-usa

Seems to work with this mod from what I can tell
kworey  [ophavsmand] 30. apr. kl. 17:35
xJohn0090x

For that to happen it would require to shift the map position (or the sun position) i believe. I don't know if there are any mods like that.
xJohn0090x 30. apr. kl. 10:36
I love the mod, is there anyway to extend how long the days and nights are to somewhat match realife? I'd enjoy being able to drive during the day for say 6 hours real life time before the sun starts to set, drive during sunset for however long and whatnot
kworey  [ophavsmand] 28. apr. kl. 15:53
ellis.dan41

what do you mean? this is compatible with all versions.

If you are asking if this mod as a version in terms of updates, it is updated daily.
ellis.dan41 26. apr. kl. 19:16
what version are we at on this
kworey  [ophavsmand] 21. jan. kl. 15:48
trainguy_gaming

I wont be duplicating the mod just to remove that variable, this mod is not intended to change weather behaviour
kworey  [ophavsmand] 21. jan. kl. 15:47
Tucktank

You mean enable timezones ingame? Of course just take in count that default timezones names are summer ones and the mod is currently set to winter time
trainguy_modding 20. jan. kl. 12:15
@kworey Okay, I did testing with and without "thunderstorm_probability: 0.50" and I noticed that I get thunder in dry weather without "thunderstorm_probability" which I want from my graphics mod. So if you can make a version without the "thunderstorm_probability", that'd be much appreciated. :)
Tucktank 20. jan. kl. 9:18
can i use timezones
kworey  [ophavsmand] 16. jan. kl. 16:24
shimsham29

Thank you, i try to keep everything up to date and yes i added everything in real life fuel prices cause i like to have full realism and most people wont get affected by the timezone changes i did anyways.

I also like to have accuracy on everything and use official sources and make all the correct currency and volume conversions with the most up to date data aswell

Once again thank you for your preference!
shimsham29 16. jan. kl. 8:15
Thank you for this and your real fuel prices mod. I was using the popular Real Fuel Prices mod and the Actual Day/Night mod before which worked well yet you have to disable time zones during the winter unless using that Winter Timezones mod that chalchammy mentioned. Problem there is that mod doesn't have real fuel prices so I didn't use it and just played with time zones disabled. You having the time zone stuff adjusted while having real life fuel prices in your real fuel prices mod makes it great and basically a one-stop solution.

The above appreciation is also for your ETS2 version of these two mods.

I also think it is an added bonus that you keep both of your mods more frequently updated than the two above mentioned popular mods. Not that I had a problem with Actual Day/Night being updated once a week as opposed to every day or Real Fuel Prices only updated once or twice a month yet my view is the more accuracy the better so thanks for that.
kworey  [ophavsmand] 28. dec. 2024 kl. 18:55
chalchammy

Exactly, ATS winter timezones probably changes the country definitions timezones time and causes the 1h deviation
chalchammy 28. dec. 2024 kl. 18:52
Thanks for clarifying so I only need the 2 mods real life day and night and fuel prices for it to work as it should
kworey  [ophavsmand] 28. dec. 2024 kl. 18:45
chalchammy

Yes it takes in count daylight savings, i don't know what ATS winter timezones changes but if it changes the time itself (apart from the timezone designation it will affect the behaviour of this mod).

My real fuel prices mod takes in count the timezone names and it is updated accordingly to real life

To summarize with this mod you don't need any "fix" that changes stuff related to daylight savings (unless it is only the designation for example PST instead of PDT which my fuel prices mod does change)
chalchammy 27. dec. 2024 kl. 19:42
Question... k I use it and sunrise and sunset seem to be off by 1 hr or more all the time. Does this take into consideration daylight savings and if not is it compatible with ATS Winter Timezones which fixes the daylight savings issue?
trainguy_modding 19. dec. 2024 kl. 13:23
@kworey I understand
kworey  [ophavsmand] 19. dec. 2024 kl. 6:05
trainguy_gaming

the value set for thunderstorms probability is the default value set by scs and i wont change it cause my mod is not weather oriented. Some weather mods might change the behaviour of thunderstorms and that is probably the cause (weather 8k or 4k for example the thunderstorm events are extremely rare)
trainguy_modding 18. dec. 2024 kl. 15:01
@kworey Can you add this line: thunderstorm_probability: 0.50

I noticed that without that line, there are no thunderstorms when using graphics mods or SCS's weather and I don't want to disable this mod as it adds so much realism.
kworey  [ophavsmand] 31. okt. 2024 kl. 18:56
trainguy_gaming

Created a new mod called "Real life fuel prices" ATS that updates fuel prices for the week and also updates timezones between summer and winter time for more realism
trainguy_modding 30. okt. 2024 kl. 19:34
@kworey I only play ATS
kworey  [ophavsmand] 30. okt. 2024 kl. 18:57
trainguy_gaming

Thank you.

If you play euro truck aswell i have a real fuel prices mod that also updates timezones accordingly to real life (CET instead of CEST for example and countries like iceland who don't have DST also have their timezone updated) combined with real life day and night (promods and other european map compatible)
trainguy_modding 29. okt. 2024 kl. 20:06
@kworey I love this mod, it adds more realism to the game. Thank you so much for this mod. :)
kworey  [ophavsmand] 22. okt. 2024 kl. 14:37
THUNDER COCK

No, the only thing that can cause weird functioning is incorrect timezones in the def files of states/countries and map positioning of those areas (bad mapping)
kworey  [ophavsmand] 22. okt. 2024 kl. 14:35
mr_spider_black

if set above it yes it will work, it will override the daylight hours set on that mod, but since it replicates the current day of the year you will get autumn days and daily updated
THUNDER C0CK 22. okt. 2024 kl. 8:28
is there any conflict with map mods?
mr_spider_black 22. okt. 2024 kl. 8:18
Hello. Will your mod work with Early Autumn/Fall v3.7 (ATS 1.52 & 1.51) by Grimes, which has its own daylight hours? If yes, what priority should I set? If not, then I'll have to choose. Thanks in advance!
kworey  [ophavsmand] 21. okt. 2024 kl. 8:43
davesnow

That depends in the place you are in cause it replicates the real life current sunrise and sunset times, if you want bigger daylight time just don't use it. Base game has the longest day of the year set
davesnow 20. okt. 2024 kl. 18:21
I don't like this mod. It starts getting dark at 3:30 pm. What th'?
kworey  [ophavsmand] 18. okt. 2024 kl. 5:49
TPopBCornD

It depends on where you are at, in case of ATS i can agree with it but in Europe if you are in the far north areas (promods like north norway, svalbard, etc) you will see those effects on a daily basis since the sunrise and sunset on those areas in transition from summer to winter and vice versa are pretty noticeable (specially svalbard). It doesn't require me much time to update this on a daily basis but yeah now i get what you mean.

Where i live for example it's usually 1-2 mins variation per day so it's barely noticeable. And thank you for the feedback
Pungent Panda 18. okt. 2024 kl. 1:32
I don't mean anything ill. I just think that IRL day/night seasonal cycles move slowly so you can get away with not having to update on the daily..."daily."
