The first time, I could not interact with the staff after placing it in its spot and changing rooms. The second time, I had taken down all the wanted posters (even heard the little sound that acknowledged task completion), but it wasn't crossed out on the chalkboard. Having read other comments, this escape room needs a fair amount of work to correct the bugs. However, it's free DLC, so I know I shouldn't be too demanding about it.
In every other regard, it was a brilliant escape room; compartmentalized puzzles, but with main quest items elegantly interwoven into each one. The voice acting was well-done, great immersion, and lore acceptably accurate to the average viewer. I would rate it as better than WWW and PCST, but not quite as good as Potions Class. Thanks, MelonVerse!
My friend and I had a great time solving it. Although unfortunately we had to restart it twice :D
Once we accidentally dropped the wand in the main room (in the area in front of the task board) and it disappeared.
The same thing happened with the crossbow in the second room (right in front of the cupboard).
Perhaps there is a lack of floor detection for these items. Alternatively, perhaps a checkpoint system would help? Because at the moment, when you have to restart the game because of this problem, you lose time due to the (actually cool) dialogues at the beginning (alternatively it would be great if you could skip them).
We hope this feedback helps and thank you again! We look forward to solving your next room. 🤩
Second try, after the first use, the wand disapear from our inventory so we're stuck with the webs. :/
I might take another look at this map in the future and see if I can find any tokens, idk.
One flaw: 22:00 is actually 10pm, not 11pm. So the hogwarts map is technically wrong and impossible to solve logically. You also have to already know how to convert military time into standard time, or else you can't logically solve it. I want to assume maybe you didn't mean to keep the military time in the remaster, because I saw a video of the first version of the map where you ONLY used military time.
