Actually there is no special reason for this, I did make it same because the vanilla one has a same requirements.

As a result, a reason of these benches has a same size is simply by my laziness.

Its a nice mod. I make mods from time to time, and I dont want them to feel OP or busted. I sometimes over compensate in making them have too harsh a drawback. I feel as though the moderate space savings are reasonably compensated with some increased power draw, maybe not as much as it is though. The copper alloy plate cost seems excessive, but isnt a huge issue. Much better than thoughtless 'all research benches are the level 1 size' mods though.

You should be able to build them with Shift+F12 in swamp right? You can dispose of the resources later

Bro, you have no idea how hard this slap, at early game, im only able to buy small or long house and the research bench build there took so much space i have to build it the corner cause one i slap it down, u cant pass though it anymore, this mod save so much space, i love it so much, very stonk

In my main base I always have a dedicated Storm House with a Small Research Bench AND a regular level 2+ bench. Serves as reasearch (obviously) and to store items temporarily (sell or for furnace)
Those racks will find their place in that house. So well done.

Also (customized nerfed) Geothermal generator, borderline cheat, for clean power. XD

Thanks. It always annoyed me that the research benches took up half the floor of a storm house, and I always appreciate QoL style mods like this that make things more convenient without breaking the game.
