@Trubbish Da True MVP, Some guns have rust camos. Doesn't mean the gun it's self would stop working.

That rust looks like dried jelly. Try adding some custom normal maps if you haven't already because it looks extremely fake.

Thanks, man! Is that looks very unrealistic? I forget to say this is not only rust)) Thats mud, dust, but mostly rust. If it plastic - thats shit. It's zombie apocalypse, plastic is nothing, i think... This is only my opinion :sniperbrain:

Okay, I'll be 'that guy'. Perhaps you're unaware, but the M16 rifle, and its many variations, is made mostly of aluminum and plastic materials. These materials don't rust. :) The only components in the rifle made of steel are the (internal) bolt and bolt carrier, the trigger components, and the barrel and related attachments, but NOT the handguards, those are plastic. Well, there are various pins and screws here and there, but those are the major visible components that are steel. So if you wanted to show rust on the visible portions of the barrel, and the delta ring (the thing right behind the handguards, in front of the receiver), and maybe the magazine, those can be made of steel or aluminum, so I'll give you that one... anyway, that would be more realistic. Yeah, I know, L4D2 doesn't necessarily HAVE to be realistic, but it makes no sense to show a plastic or aluminum part being covered in rust, that's all.

So, there you go, fwiw. :)
