How come the high energy pellet sometimes works for me and sometimes goes back to being a purple and black checkered square?

Bee2.4 I did delve into Hammer MANY years ago, but I'm not quite ready to get back into that just yet.

I would certainly love to get back into hammer again though.

the laser fields are barely visible. it might relate a bit to my colorblindness, but they're definitely visible in portal 2, so there definitely is a way to make them visible while still having them be red. i keep walking through them not realizing they're there :(
