This is exactly what I was hoping for! Honestly, the dev team should've made these skins as part of the DLC release. Very very well done Kitty.

Very nice idea and mod. I highly recommend it.
The car skin maps are correct, but the color one is used only for mods by the game (whyever).
So don't blame it to the content creator but hope for a game update.

@Queen Niijima I have been thinking about no longer including lights in these packs. Often times they just get replaced or thrown out by the user anyway.

Tbh doing all the research about light pattern, then making them time right in game, have the right colors for them.. to be thrown out or overwritten anyway is just not worth the time it takes to make these.

We might just start uploading Light patterns and skins separately. In any case you can just go to the mod folder and delete the light files. I doubt we reupload these as skins only.

I kinda wish this was included in the official update / DLC. No shade towards the skins they did add but I think MSP / FSP liveries would have been more appropriate.

Shame about the EPV lights, but this is still a great mod. If by chance the ELS mods are still broken in the future, do you consider releasing a standalone, texture-only version of this mod?

@feeney54 Not sure what you mean but to change the skins go inside the Garage. You can change them in there.

@Charlie We probably told the devs 17 times about this already. They said about a month ago they will fix it and well... We see how that went. Nothing we can do about that besides waiting.

Nice pack I don't know if you can fix this or not but I can see "Brighton Police" on the side of the charger and like some other vehicles like the traffic enforcement truck. It would be very nice also I can see 037 on the charger even tho the charger's callsign for this pack is 420.

@DonT155 Thank you very much! I must admit it is not my fav color scheme either but that's just the way the Massachusetts State Police looks. Since the city skins default by game are based of off Boston we thought it would only fit to make them the right State inspired too.

NGL I didn't really like the light blue/dark blue scheme from the Pics here, but i tried this anyway... They are REALLY well done. Now it's like my favorite skin, I can't play the highway expansion without it. Great job!!

Hello. These look awesome! How did you get the 2 new vehicles to mod (the EPV and I forget the name of the other)? My friend that made a mod with me a while back said that he hasn't seen the new models anywhere, so we haven't been able to mod the new ones. Thank you!

@DeputyPelkMI It does say the right state now, the pictures are updated too. EPV has a skin but no lights since the game wont let us overwrite them.

Admittedly, haven't played since the initial release of this (and to my understanding there's now a skin for the EPV).

Do you have any plans to change the department name/logo to be accurate to the game's lore? It's totally fine if not, but technically the vehicles should say "Franklin State Police" rather than "Brighton State Police". If this was already changed, apologies for the late suggestion. Again, if you don't feel like editing all the skins I get it, but it would be a nice detail to change.

@DonT155 The EPV lights are broken. We can't mod them atm.

I'd love if the EPV ELS light bar matched the other cruisers patterns better. The main bar looks too plain with the single color.

@Kittyraww Btw., I did try to reiterate "no pressure at all", but I couldn't as it would've exceeded the 1K character limit. Still, in the case you ever feel like making such skins, if might clarify that by "lore-friendly", I'd, preferably, mean the same star on the cars as in real life, just that it says "Franklin" instead of "Illinois ".

The fact that that your character doesn't have a star-shaped badge or patches on their uniform is not an inconsistency in my opinion as the logo on the car often differs from the patches and badge on the uniform in real life.

@MysticAm1go The ELS brightness change depending on what time you pick the shift. Evening, morning and night makes the lights brighter. Maybe a bit too bright, but if I turn them down they are barely visible during day time shift. Also the angle you look at the from makes them brighter or dimmer, for example I like my camera bit higher over the car not look so directly at it. But that makes the inside lights seem very dim. Again I can't do anything about that that's just how the ingame lights work.

@kittyraww whi is my els so bright and seems different than other people, for example the yellow els doesnt show much

@Kittyraww The livery I'd love for the the newer vehicles (all except the IPV) is the one with all white paint with one big yellow stripe on the sides and trunk with the white "STATE POLICE" text inside on the sides and same text in black on the trunk, and red and blue lights. For the IPV, all white paint with the older livery that has two smaller yellow stripes on the sides and the white "STATE POLICE" text and badge between those on a black background, and on the trunk, a big yellow stripe with the same text in black inside like the newer liveries and no badge, and the black unit number also on the trunk (maybe "70" like in the movie), and all red lights for the IPV. @Oversama Are we talking of the Yellow Stripe one for the Illinois State Police or the Black and white ones. They seem to have 3 versions and i am really confused which one.

@Kittyraww Not to mention how good this news is for people who can't use mods whether they want to or not, aka console players, who are stuck with only one (great-looking but seriously outdated) vehicle with a highway patrol skin to patrol the highway with.

FHP is a great agency (with great lights and rambars) from what I've seen, and you absolutely must add their iconic pathfinder dual siren (or whatever their official name is) to your pack! Personally, I'm not that big a fan of brown colors on cars, but it will definitely fit the brown uniform, so great choice!

Maybe you can get around to making those Illinois State Police skins sometime in the future if you ever feel like it but as I said, I don't want to spam you, so I'll stop mentioning them for now, and thanks again!

@Oversama As long as is not our skin here, that would be great for people that just don't want to use mods. Since i was planning on Florida for the next one it be cool of they added a CHP style one in game.

A PoliceSim dev just told me on steam that they have plans to release Highway Patrol skins for all cars in a free update ASAP. Since those skins will probably resemble the CHP-style IPV's default skin, perhaps there isn't that big a need for you to create lore-friendly CHP skins.

I don't mean to pressure or spam you in any way, but as mentioned, I really do believe lore-friendly Illinois State Police skins would look great in general but the older livery and all red lights like the Illinois State Police cars in the 1980 movie "Blues Brothers" have would look absolutely amazing on the IPV and would be the perfect fit for the brown state trooper uniform, and would really be a childhood dream come true to me.

But either way, I'm already very grateful for your awesome work!

Lore-friendly Illinois State Police skins with the yellow lines and white text would also look great and really suit the new uniform. It's a bit of a simple but really clean and smooth look.

The brown uniform and the IPV model even look really similar to the ones from the 1980 movie "Blues Brothers", in which its main characters are on the run from the Illinois State Police. You could even make it so that the IPV has the older livery (two small yellow lines instead of one big yellow line) and all red lights like the cars in that movie, which would be absolutely amazing!

@chriscrushm The thing with Minneapolis is that if we make that one Lore friendly is just gonna look like the LAPD ones we already made. They are really close in looks and I wanna focus on different unique looks. That's why we made Medford because is really unique not just black and white again. I was thinking of doing things like Florida Highway Patrol, NYPD, Miami City, they all very unique in looks.

It would be awesome if you could use the car logo from the IPV's default skin as I think a knight is a really cool logo for a state trooper and really fitting as the word "trooper" used to refer to a cavalry soldier and their iconic campaign hats were originally cavalry hats. Some troopers patrolling in cars even still wore boots in the 1950s to honor their origin.

Anyway, sorry for that tangent. I'd also find it really cool if it said "State Police" on the front doors and "State Trooper" on the front fenders, trunk, and hood of the car. I'm not really fond of the term "Highway Patrol" as it implies that agency's jurisdiction is limited to the highway, which is false as it's just another term for "State Police", which, as the name appropriately implies, has jurisdiction in the entire state.

Just my personal preferences, of course, but I'd love the hell out of that, lol. Thanks either way!

@Oversama Thanks a lot for the feedback. Funny enough we where planning on making a lore friendly CHP one. So the possibility of that happening in the not so far future is pretty good.

Just tested it and wanted to express my appreciation because even though the skins already looked great before, they're even far better now that they say the state name, and the skin looks as good on the EPV as it does on the other cars. Pity uniform mods currently don't work so that we could have one with the same color scheme, like its real-life counterpart.

Btw., seeing as the devs themselves seem to have no interest in doing something as essential (especially for console players) as giving their paying customers highway patrol skins for a highway patrol expansion, except for a car that looks great but is 40-50 years old, is there any chance you might be interested in making the IPV's default skin for all vehicles? I do really like that classic and lore friendly black/white CHP-style livery and think it would look great on all cars.

But either way, of course I'm already very grateful for you giving us these great lore-friendly skins!

@Everyone The mod was just updated to show the correct state name on the car and the EPV now has a Skin. However, lights or sirens do not want to work on the EPV no matter what I try. It seems to be a game related problem.
