Yeah, at best I fix stuff that's like 15+ years old before I reupload it, but at that point the original authors are long gone, or don't care.

Even the archived maps & stuff I upload I try my best to contact the original authors first so I can get permission, add them to the contributor lists, etc. Half the time I can't even find them, since their names are vague/generic/long since changed.
