Now the patch works with space maps from SOS2, Rimnaut2 or Odessy DLC
After this update, it's all hands on deck for their own game, Project Morningstar.
If you want to know more, head on over to the SOS2 discord.
I put a notice on description for this FAQ issue.
And at least from my knowledge, Ludeon doesn't offer modders something allowing to do things like "if this mod exists, then no incompatibility warning in about.xml, otherwise fire warning." Maybe it's possible but I've never seen such thing yet.
But with this patch you can just ignore the warning.
Now Rimnauts 2 celestial bodies are also considerred as SOS2 space maps
Also I ve looked at the SOS2 documentation, Use Minified Buildings has mechanics conflict with SOS2 ship movement. This kind of incompatibility is usually one of the hardest kind to fix, unlike the patches I made which just delete some map objects or prevent some events from firing.

And I also have my own mod to work on
But in case it happens the script will terminate it immediately. Its still better that VE team prevent it from the source in their framework.
It only affects space map, regular ones will still have psychic rain as usual
My patch code is fully based on what's reported in SOS2 doc
There is a more up to date SOS2 compatible mod list.

Some of my newly patched mods in my workshop are already on the compatible list, others not yet.
