The only case I know of where a character broke replays at first but it got fixed later is Jerma985 but with him, it was just a desync problem & not full inactivity. I don't know how he got fixed though. Snake still desyncs in replays & I think Ayaka still does too.
Regarding the block, I tried to make it work similarly to how it works in Sm*sh, which is why she can go to blocking from running. Of course, I understand that given how RoA works, this feels unintuitive, but it was made so by design. Regardless, this is an easy change, so if it's that bad, it can be changed.
For the first issue (the replays), I believe I can try and fix it. But for the second, I'm afraid that unless I have a thourough look at how Mayu and Hime work when grabbing, I don't know how to tackle it. Regardless, I'll have a look.

Found some glitches though. When I watch replays of her, she just stands there doing nothing. Fortunately, I can get around that by just recording with Bandicam instead of making replays.
Sometimes, when Boss Mayu or Abyss Hime hit Danarias, the game crashes & I get a popup about a fatal error. I think it's caused by grabs or similar moves because two of the moves that cause is are Abyss Hime's grapple & her explosion that freezes you in place if it lands a killing blow.
