For whatever reason, the shotgun texture glows in the dark, not just the lights on the sights. Doesn't happen with the RTX shotgun. Possible selfillum issue?

The arms are not universal like GMod. The arms have to be baked into each model individually, and that's a holdover from Half-Life 2.

Yes it does. Make sure you don't have any conflicting mods from the workshop, or you can move the vpks from the workshop folder (362890/3260549887/) and move them to your custom folder

And to add to my last comment, I asked the user who made the BMCE Classic NPCs addon and they said they wouldn't update the HEV themselves

Oh yeah that's intentional. Because the MP5 is an SD variant, there shouldn't be a muzzleflash, so I went into the weapon script and replaced it with a smoke particle. I did add a script add-on VPK changing the MP5's muzzle and firing sounds back to vanilla, so you can try that out

I dunno, seems to work fine to me. I had my vpks for the HEV mod in the bms/custom/ folder, so maybe try that?

I mean, Thanez' uses the standard weapon rig, so you (or someone else in the community) can use the included decompiled rigs and compile the pack

You can, but the arms won't carry over because of the way the devs decided to impliment the arms. You'd have to make new models each time

so uh, I found another issue. I also installed the vpk for BMCER npcs, but if they got hit by alien grunt's hive hand projectile, the game would freeze and crash instantly. I tested with other weapons, it seems only hive hands could cause this

first of all, thanks for porting. however, I like to ask a question. so I'm extracting the files that only effected HEV suit for my own use. everything seem to be ok, except those small plates on HEV dead bodies hands, they're lacking textures. If you don't mind, could you tell me what files should I need from vpks? (I'm using PS2 ver btw)
