the pigs will follow chester when it goes dark as a light source even if its not lighten. so is he chester always lighten and only visible when we are close enough?

Hey, I've had a problem lately on my dedicated server where I just suddenly started crashing because of this mod. The error I get goes as follows:

The mod used to work for me, then out of the blue it stopped working. Now it crashes instantly once you pick up Chester's Eyebone, and will keep crashing the instant you try to log in until the mod is disabled.

This is what happens when you feed chester too many fireflies XD

I'd prefer If I could turn off the light effect. I downloaded this mainly for the speed and distance thing :D

This mod literally saved my life in DS.
So I was chasing this rabbit at dusk, and I wasn't watching the clock. Suddenly everything started turning dark and I was like "oh ****". I snatched up my manure from my inventory to light my camp fire up, which was actually quite close. But the sad thing is it got completely dark before I even get to light it up. It doesn't even show "add fuel" even though I know my mouse was directly amove the fire pit. So I was just randomly walking around in the dark, waiting for "Charlie", then suddenly Chester lit up and I was like YESS!!!

Yeah that's my story. You guys will love this mod :)

This is a nice unique version of this! TheMugwump made a version on Klei Forums that I used a lot. It makes Chester glow very dimly at night, and speeds up his running at all times. I understand with the updates that appeared with Don't Starve, there are hidden in game ways to create upgraded versions of Chester, like the Nightmare Chester, and Ice Chester. Say, will you ever make mods to update or change them?

Apprentice Wysoth Chester is part of the game. to get him to follow ,just find and carry his eyebone with you at all times.If you put the eyebone down he will stop following.The eyebone spawms once in every new world.

For people skipping the description , I'm putting down the answers here:

-This mod is base and RoG compatible; the game will not crash because you have or do not have the Reign of Giants DLC.

-This does not affect how Chester spawns, or how he moves.

-All this does is that when you get close to him, he emits light (showers you with love) and this allows for a mobile source of light if you stay near him.

-The settings are the shortest turn-on distance and the smallest light.

-The mod works with existing saved games and with new games.
