I had stuck some beds and lockers in the bow section, and it looked rather unfinished, but your solution is much more refined, great addition! I came to the exact same conclusion with the magnetic plates, tested it on earth like and it worked a charm.

For the landing problem I put magnetic plates on the ribbing around the belly, and that seems to do the trick.

Sweet! I can't wait to see it. "Hot racking" and utilizing the cryo pods is another possibility to support more crew members. Another issue I've run into when comparing with the Hydra: landing on unimproved sites (not on a pad) on planets proved a bit hazardous. A few of the Sleipnir's small hydrogen thrusters lining the belly under the hangar bays exploded on the ground, cutting off the fuel to the rest of them on that side, and she couldn't take off again. The Hydra actually only requires 2 of it's 4 large thrusters to stay aloft unladen. I vibe i get from the Hydra is like a repurposed and upgunned frontier freighter, perfect for militias and pirates, whereas the Sleipnir is a purpose built military vessel requiring existing facilities and bases for best use.

You can technically use some of the space from the front of the ship, toward the front airlocks. Just make the main corridor continue forward in the armored bow and squeeze some stuff here. I might actually do it and update the ship.

I love this, and the Hydra. Unleash the Kraken! One thing I miss in the upgrade from the Hydra, however, is the much reduced crew accommodations.

You need to subscribe to the workshop item then play in a creative world. Press F10 to open the blueprint menu and select the ship you want to copy in your world.
