I love how each voice section gets progressively more unhinged and panicked

My best guess would be that it assigns voices randomly, I haven't tried running without the mod enabled but there isn't any code that would break the voice lines from my knowledge. Give it a shot if you're inclined!

this is great - has that "professionals under stress" vibe that homeworld series managed to create with it's voice lines.

Regardless, if people are down to make the commitment to record a bunch of lines, I’d be happy to facilitate getting them into the game. I’ll have time this Sunday to get started in earnest

It's a pretty particular process, and a decent time commitment. It took a few 5 hour sessions to record just this first voice.

But I'll start work on a design document of sorts to explain character, hardware requirements, etc. and post a thread here for anyone interested. Happy to hear people are interested!

If you need a volunteer let me know. Not sure if I got talent, but I love this game and would be happy to help.

Eventually! Heavily dependent on available talent/volunteers. Initially though I want to workshop the current voice around, hear feedback, change certain lines, etc. Then once everything is settled, start work to add in others in a similar vein. Much easier to do all that with just one voice to start with
