Though I might argue that transmuting a horse into a tank through some magical (and no doubt horrific) means might make less sense than dismantling and melting down the materials of one ship to make another. :D
During Operation Dessert Storm, Missouri and Wisconsin fired TLAMs. Wisconsin and Missouri also conducted fire missions against targets with their high caliber guns. A Wisconsin Pioneer drone received the white-flag surrender of Iraqi troops during combat operations (heh heh). At cease-fire (28 February 1992), the last Wisconsin fire mission became the final battleship action in the world (to date).
All three are now museum ships.
@2.0: The Dessert Storm operations make them sound as though they were active missle-ships to me.
I considered making the upgrade from the destroyer since their in-game roles are more closely related and missile destroyers existing in reality, but there was the melee/ranged issue to consider in that regard which made that ill-advised.
