@Polskers happy playing.
Thanks for your concise answer, I very much appreciate it! Sounds like your mod is still the go-to for continuity of making sure all the characters look the same/similar across generations as well as complexion! You explained it very well, and I'll most certainly continue to use your mod. :)
Cheers.
You imagine correctly. The AGOT+ game rule works by replacing Corlys' mother with a Summer Islander to explain his appearance, and by giving Corlys, Laena and Laenor the DNA. His brothers will show some sign of it, but that's it. Therefore, if you use only that rule, the rest of the Velaryon dynasty and Laena's daughters will still have default AGOT DNA. As you likely know, this mod gives all of them DNA. I completely understand AGOT+ dev; changing the appearance of so many characters is tedious, but for me the immersion is broken if only those three have the show-based DNA. If AGOT+ adds everyone, then I will discontinue this mod, but for now I'll continue.
I had a question though: you mention the new game rule... does that new game rule in essence make this mod null and void or unnecessary now? I imagine that with this game rule, there still things added in this mod to the DNA of House Velaryon which make it so that this is in addition to the Book or Show appearance as laid out in the game rules as of the latest update?
Thank you so much, and keep up the wonderful work!
Also you added 'heregeld_perk' twice.
I only made DNA at first, but CK3 seems to handle interracial children with a dark-skinned parent by heavily skewing light/white in complexion and features. It's whatever in vanilla, but in an HOTD run it wasn't working because House Velaryon would be fully white within a generation or two. What I've done is applied modifiers to a character's birth appearance. The variation that comes from that is my way of generating characters like Laenor. The image in the post with the big family shows a bit of that. The light and dark-skinned characters are from the same parents, which happens in reality. The SS mechanic doesn't apply to any of the pre-existing characters like Laenor since I set their appearances manually.
Would it be possible to make the direct grandchildren heirs also Prince/Princess. Would that be difficult to do?
Thanks for all your work!!!
