desc says it goes under new category "plumbing" but it shows up as "resources" and "area" for me?

Can you patch the vanilla temperature extension to be compatible with the multi floor?:cozycrashfish:

I'll fix

Since the most recent update DBH buildings are not being removed. Is this intentional?

Both have

Hey guys, to the people that wish to add back the towel rails:

1. Go into the mod folder
2. find the file inside -> \Mods and Shit\Dubs Hygiene\Patches
3. open the XML file (hygeine patch.xml)
4. Find this line under <!-- Remove useless shit -->

<Operation Class="PatchOperationAdd">
<xpath>Defs/ThingDef[defName="RadiatorTowelRail"]</xpath>
<value>
<designationCategory></designationCategory>
</value>
</Operation>
<Operation Class="PatchOperationReplace">

5. Replace with this line

<Operation Class="PatchOperationReplace">
<xpath>Defs/ThingDef[defName="RadiatorTowelRail"]/designationCategory</xpath>
<value>
<designationCategory>Temperature</designationCategory>
</value>

That way, towel rails are added back under temperature tab. :steamhappy:

Having tested this quite a bit, honestly I think that dubs actually does temperature control a bit better then the vanilla temperature expanded.

Dubs outdoor unit (outdoor air-con unit) is animated based on how much power it is drawing, giving a neat visual effect for when your air con unit is being stressed.

Dub's indoor units are much cheaper resource wise to create, and also take significantly less power draw. They also don't break down, so they wont be devouring your components. I think the only ones that breaks down is the freezer unit and the outdoor unit.

All that said there are things I do like about vanilla expandeds implementation:
The air ducts look good and are much more fitting instead of pipes.
Wall mounted vents are fantastic.
The improvements of the vanilla units are a welcome change.

Kind of wish this mod focused more on dubs version of cooling, just replacing the aircon pipes with ducts for better flavor, while also looking better too.
Yeah, the removal of towel rails keeps me from using this mod as well. Any chance that could be toggle-able?
Grimmas 7
There is another overlap here that you could take a look at. One of the VE mods (furniture - farming, I think) adds a sprinkler for irrigation, which overlaps with Dub's sprinkler. The VE one uses only electricity while Dub's connects to the water pipes.
removing outdoor air-con units is crazy..... the whole point is that you spend tons of steel/power so you wont have to worry about throwing heat on the other side of the wall...

Towel rail removal is the only thing keeping me from this mod. Towel lovers rise up.

My poor pawns must now throw their towels over the door?
Sverd 3
This mod may have a strange interaction with RimFridge. It successfully puts the single fridge and wall single fridge in the temp category, but the dual fridge and quad fridge appear to have been thanos snapped. They're still in the game and can be spawned with dev mode, but they do not appear in the temperature category or anywhere else and cannot be built normally.
I had just left a comment on VE Temperature about the exact things this mod does. And now I find it.

Mixed feelings about the towel rack. I've never used it but it's a nice fluff thing.

About the Replace Stuff over hall items, they have support for Ideology styles with but VE Temp doesn't so yeah.

Lastly have you checked out Niilo's QoL? It has a cool feature that checks for overlaps with other mods and will let you know in the log.

No Towel Rails for bathrooms? :trsad: I like everything in here except that removal.
v10 - moved the ice crystal zones from better autocasting into temperature
Shoka 3
I also miss towel rails. They look very nice for bathrooms in a way radiators don't
I miss the towel rails as well. Also, by any chance is there a way to make the bath tub metal stuffable? I only have the option to build it with wood and bone.

The omission of some duplicate items is kind of sad and I wish at the very least they were build-able via left click menu. However, since I am stoopid and don't actually know if that's possible or easy to implement, it's no big deal.

All that critique nonsense aside, thank you for your work on all of your mods. I appreciate you!

Anyone else having issues with the heating pipes for the Multi-floor mod? As soon as it connects to anything on another floor, the boiler stopped working for everything including things on the same floor. When I remove it off the other floor, it works again.

I've spent so long being wildly confused why after installing this mod I had no wall mounted heaters/coolers whatsoever. The defs weren't in the game at all. Turns out I was so confused because it had nothing to do with this mod and was in fact

The Tiny Tweaks Collection
- The various wall-mounted appliances, alongside the ceiling-mounted ones, have been removed. They just felt redundant and ugly to me.
Just figured I'd leave this here in case anyone else was running into the same issue. Maybe some day I'll learn my lesson about unprotected modding XD

Is it possible for the Helixien Gas Boiler to be put under Heating tech instead of Fluid Exchange tech? Trying to make a Gas-Only colony and was surprised to see that even though I had gas tech and heating tech, I couldn't make a gas boiler because it was locked behind electricity

I miss the towel rails...
@Intelligen't Built this one a while ago I don't entirely remember how much of it is fully dependent on VTE's existence, but it's marked as a dependency for a reason like if you don't use it many operations of this patch will fail and such
does this require all three mods? or can i play it without vte?

I think a lot of stores and vendors have started calling towel rails "towel warmers" or "towel heating racks", at least from what I've seen. Maybe cuz as the're not built in as heating fixtures anymore and just sold as a free standing appliances just meant for towels and robes.
Nam 2024
not long ago using hotwater/steam was a efficient method of warning large areas with radiators, these tower rails are just radiators you're ment to put things on and are just a luxury like heated floors.
I have never ever seen a towel rail not working with hot water, but in a hostel they most likely go for the cheapest initial investment. :>
Towels radiators still exist but are using electricity for most of them now

In hostels I'd saw towels radiators that are blowers too

So you have a heat air flux when leaving your shower plus heated towel

The Ghost Knife 2024
The Towel Rail is a radiator type heating element. People used to throw towels over them so they call them towel rails. It's before my time but you see a lot of very small radiators in bathrooms in the 80's
