I have cooked the Advent to Tau and Tau Armory mods and am currently uploading the new versions. This will make the file size of Advent to Tau 1.2 GB and the file size of the Tau Armory mod 708 MB; however, the Tau Content volumes (4.38 GB) will no longer be necessary for either mod.

I won’t be removing the content volumes from the workshop (because doing so could present bugs to people’s current campaigns) but I will be emptying out the contents so they won’t be taking up space on the drives of those who stay subscribed to them.

What do I need to do to be able to equip the commander armor? I’m using modded classes so that could be the problem but it’s not showing up for any of my class options armor slots

how do I make the suits work right with the sparks? when i equip the armor, the spark stays the same and gets bigger but thats it

Found the problem. the other classes don't have a heavy weapons slot in their config files, but once i added them in they worked perfectly

I believe this happened because of modded classes. LWOTC classes work fine, but classes from other mods don't seem to

I found a problem (might not be specifically this mod but it's the one i found it first with)
When i give an armor with a heavy weapon slot to a soldier, most of them can't equip anything there. All the options have a red text overlay stating "unavailable"

so cosmetics for Kroot carnivores is listed but I dont seem to be able to find any beyond the weapons?

Seems to be the armour items themselves that are overriding the size.
With the regular "SPARK Armor" size can be edited fine and you can set your cosmetics to a suit, but if you use any of the Battlesuit Armours then you're locked into those visuals.
Even just a way to disable those would be amazing.

Is there any way to edit the size of the Crisis Battlesuits?
They are way too big in scale, I've tried other model resizing mods but it looks like there is something inside this mod specifically which is overwriting those values.
Any idea where can I find it?

If I commission some more necron mods as there is one already on workshop, would you be interested to make a raid faction? Though you need to add the weapons as we don't know how to do sfx stuff.

I really love this mod! is it possible to add older suit models like the hazard suit or stormsurge? and what about craftable vehicles like the hammerhead?

@matsgudmunds: For the cosmetics, yes. For the functional armours and stuff, you prolly will miss the stuff you would have unlocked already, depending on how it's set up.

When I equip the XV8 on sparks the scale up in size, but do not show on spark.

Any compatibility with SPARK Arsenal? I remember the shoulder weapons and twin linked weapons are not visible with that mod. This issue was the same for the Imperium armory mod with the spark parts there but there was a patch that corrected it. So I was wondering if this mod has been made compatible as well.

@MostlyHarmless By the way. The situation with cannons is not entirely clear to me. Firstly Ion Rifle. Why is it considered a machine gun if, according to canon, Pathfinders carried them. That is, those who played the role of reconnaissance and assistance in battle. I wanted to give them to Shinobi, but I couldn’t. I wish it had the same characteristics as an SMG, which gives a mobility bonus. And the second point is related to machine guns for Stealth Battlesuits. In theory, they can only be worn in an appropriate combat suit. That is, it would be nice if, when putting on a stealth battlesuit, the opportunity to wear them opened up, but Burst Guns are accessible only to those who have access to Cannons. For the sake of authenticity, I had to discover the type of weapons for my classes. But I couldn't turn Ion Rifle into an SMG...

Hey, I hope you dont mind but some of the battlesuit weapons aren't working as intended because the flamethrower is in it's default skin instead of the Tau Battlesuit Skin, I hope you can fix that bug

Hello. I really liked how Tau is still not forgotten. I would like to ask you about how you can expand the Upgrade slots for all primary weapons that can initially be modified. I just wanted to be able to improve any weapon to the maximum.
Oh, and one more thing. Do you plan to add analogues of Tau technology for Reapers, Skirmishers and Templars?

@silverleaf1: I understand where you’re coming from but when I make build requirements high for things people seem to just not use them. I prefer to err on the side of accessibility. Build costs can be changed in the XComTauWargearData ini if you want to change them (armor config entries are toward the bottom of the file).

Regarding the sparks getting stuck, the TTC console command can probably get them free. You may also want to try the Allow for Larger Squads mod if you aren’t already using it. It spreads the squad deployment beyond the usual start area. Will it help? I don’t know. But I use this mod and have never run into the issue you describe during my tests.

@italiangamer[Schizophrenic], XenosFire, Rath307: There seems to have been a bug with newly augmented MEC Troopers that they would start with the XV-8 equipped but, for reasons beyond my comprehension, it would have SPARK cosmetics. I made a one line config change that makes the default armor for MEC troopers the SPARK armor, and this seems to have fixed the issue BUT only for newly augmented MEC troopers. Pre-existing MEC troopers will still be bugged for the XV-8. As other commenters mentioned, even preexisting MEC troopers will still be able to equip the other Battlesuits and the cosmetics should display normally.

I apologize that it took me so long to get around to this.

The Crisis Suits aren't showing when equipped. Just the torso of a spark shows. The commander suits don't have this issue

@IronGroin The stealth suits make the early game easier since a person no longer has to depend on reapers, and other stealth type classes for recon. Maybe the requirements should be higher for the suits. When I used the armor for sparks they occupied more space and were sometimes, depending on mission start, unable to move.

hey man letting you know that for me, the XV8 crisis battlesuit its not working corectly with the mec soldiers mod, it shows up as normal spark armor, did i forgot to do something or is it known?

Thanks to many of you for your kind words.

To address some of the questions that have come up…
-I don't have any plans at this time to expand this mod further and, tbh, I'm not regularly modding XCOM2 at the moment.
-Tau weapons will upgrade when the corresponding weapon schematic is built, not researched.
-I frankly didn't even consider that drones would count as soldiers when killed but it makes sense to me so I’m not changing it. After all, XCOM will have to spend time and resources replacing any lost drone so that should be represented somehow.
-Battlesuits must be equipped to SPARKs or MEC troopers as armors. They are not included as cosmetics for vanilla armors.
-I don't have a problem with this mod being shown on other sites.

The spark battle suits aren't working. I can't get any of the battle suits to appear in the cosmetics
