Is it possible to add more distinction between what is an open pathway and what is terrain? Current state it is very hard to tell, as it is just the outlines of terrain, with solid ground and open air being rendered the same. Would be nice if terrain was filled in to make deciphering the map easier. Hope that makes sense!

Would be awesome if it could track where I dump spells so I don't have to check several holy mountains to see where I put that one earthquake I didn't need at the time!

hi, maybe i'm dumb but is it possible to keep de map for the whole map, in fact even an "outdated" map, like when you go from a zone to another, the ancient zone stay on the map, cause i cant have it showing on screen "forever" like a real map. That would be a huge improvement if not already there.

I just put out an update for this mod which addresses some small things:
- I added a "none" option for the toggle button placement for folks who just use the keybind
- the map should render in parallel worlds now

For people having issues with the icon placement, please see the other discussion. I wasn't able to fix this natively, but I have a suggested resolution for anyone who edited their config.xml file.

Great mod! Placing icons works for me, others might have a conflict with another mod.

One request, would it be possible to add a "none" option to Map Toggle Button Placement, so we
can hide it and use the keyboard shortcut exclusively?

Seconding the inability to place icons. It just fires my wand and the icon is off to the side somewhere.

Love your mod, but unfortunately I can't place the map icons.
I can click them to pick them up, but then the icon is an inch or two to the right of my curser and then I can't place it.
I think it might have something to do with playing at and ultra-wide resolution?

the icon feature is something i've not seen implemented in other map mods. A very useful addition for those who wish to use

@Sp4m Not sure what happened there. This mod is exclusively a GUI HUD; i.e. it only reads terrain/FoW data through in-built API calls. I'd be curious to know if this were reproducible; if so, it could be a mod-on-mod interaction bug.

@DUKE NUKEM the UI can be toggled via hotkey, which is "M" by default. There is also an on-screen button which you can click to toggle the map. Both the hotkey and the button placement on-screen can be configured in the mod settings

Possible Bug Report: After enabling this mod for my in-progress run, the world colors bleached, and the darkness intensified.
After disabling this mod for my in-progress run, chunks stopped generating, and I started to fall infinitely.

I love that we can add indicators to the map!

@Fusion_Art I did not design the mod with controller in mind, so its unlikely to be a pleasant experience, unfortunately. Sorry about that!

@The One The Only Spoopy Boi I have not tested this (I've only played about ~10 hours of Noita, so no god runs yet), but the mod uses whatever the game engine itself reports as fog of war. It will either be game reports 1) fog of war doesn't apply -- map renders nothing -- or 2) fog of war is gone -- map renders everything.

the rain world map is basically like this mod, but reveals in chunks around you instead of sprinkling in, and you cant move unlike this mod, which i would say is for the best

I've never played Rain World, so I'm not sure. You can toggle the map on and off with a hot key or button click. While the map is toggled on, it will render the world around the player that has been exposed from the fog of war (and is also in the game's loaded memory). This is done somewhat in real time, so it is affected by bomb spells, etc. The time-to-full-update is a performance setting, so if your computer can handle it, you can dial that way down to almost instantaneous
