The old sprites of Calamitas still stay in my heart.

they just got a new guy spriting the stuff like the armors, the new ones will make you look really fat for some reason since they make you stand at a different angle

My theory is that they changed the sprite to make her older (?) or its a preview of making calamity mod into "something that is different than terraria".

@Myra She doesn’t have more detail, she removed a lot of the detail from the old one by making everything so much larger. The central buckle, her horns, even the rims of gold were made so much bigger. Leaving no extra room for texturing/more details.
I do agree that her polish and shading was done better than the older sprite but the flaws of the sprite outweighs it for me.

@The Hunter if you do know who made the original sprite, feel free to leave a message and I'll update the description with that info. I was only ever able to find Domonik as the creator when making this mod.

@The Hunter - well, we tried our best to find SOME sort of match. pretty sure from TRYING to research it we found some old github thing related to giving her the human form what was related to dominic k?? if you know who truly made it, please let us (or just lion since steam notifications don't work lmao) know

In the end more options to enjoy calamity how people prefer is great it's what makes modding great I don't really understand the controversy and toxicity from some people around this

@DultRultColin I'm still really sleep deprived and I think I worded my comment in a way that seems to be bashing people for using this mod if so that was not the case I meant to say people shouldn't care about people using the old sprite if they want if they prefer it as long as nobodies being toxic or anything and that personally I prefer the new one but others might the old one and they should be allowed to use this if they wanted to

@Adamos - in the end it's just some mod that you can choose to download or not, it's solely here for preference, no? i mean look at me, i don't like the fact that calamity's music mod is forced now, solely because i use resource packs to change vanilla music to my liking. we all have our own preferences after all. if you don't want it, then just ignore it and leave it be, that's all. don't bash others for their different preferences
(i also did the icon too, but it was also meant as a joke screenshot i sent to a server lion was in)

The new sprite looks much better to me but I feel the skin tone is odd and it'd make more sense if it was during the fight where everything gets hued a red/pinkish color but she's also that color when shes an npc and outside of the fight so I feel it's kinda odd looking

The main criticism of this mod I feel is people being toxic about it and the fact the mod icon can be interpreted as an insult.

The takeaway from this is to just not care what other people are doing if they aren't being toxic or rude I'm gonna stick with the new sprite but others can do as they see fit
