By the looks of your workshop item files(using gmod), it seems Valve might be trying to EDIT it. Or even worse, REMOVE some PARTS of it.(Like they did with Mail Bomber(also known as Dark Age Defender)) I'm talking about Hundekopf. It already has missing textures on it's RED skin. And the BLU skin turns rainbowey if you look from some angles. So, anyway, in case of undesireble removing/editing of your work, if you wish for us to see your original masterpiece, I strictly recommend you to make a mod version. Or don't, it is up to your wish. I am just warning you, nothing else. Eager to see your new works pretty soon.

Anyways, as I recall (you may want to do the research yourself, this is off the top of my head), this particular strain of research was done by the Soviets in the WWII era (what ethics?). They were attempting to remove a head and transplant it onto another body. While they were not successful in that goal, they did succeed in keeping a dog's severed head alive.
The research laid the groundwork for open heart surgery.
The face flex demo seems to be a nod to the footage of these experiments, where they sat the living head on a table and tested reflexes.
Just look for "russian dog head experiment" on youtube if you must see it...
and it's a great fit for medic, given the mad doctor trope. Too bad a lot of people will just dismiss this as furry stuff...
