Thanks for the mod. A few questions.

1: What is the dope theme song for the Carribean? Haven't played them yet but every time I open Morgan's diplomacy screen I find myself staying for a while. I love it and would like to know its name.

And then, associated with some other mods, a couple questions.

1: I noticed for the UIs that there was historical info on them in the Civilopedia, but where would I go to find out their gameplay effect? (Stupa, Impalement, and that Benin(?) one.)

2: There were also a couple cases in the Civilopedia where the written text for UUs conflicted with the sidebar info. For example the Swiss Pikemen replacement text said it upgrades into Riflemen but the sidebar with "pre-req text, promotions, and upgrade" said it upgrades to a Lancer. When I see things like that, which should I trust? (side note: I've loved every change you've made that takes UUs off the Lancer path.)

to answer my own question, after playing I found that the only time you can change a "Genoa colony" tile is when you declare war on Genoa, and the "Genoa colony" tiles within you border revert back to unimproved tiles where you can build improvements on them like normal.

Hello Civ 5 fans, how do you create Genoa colony? Do you use a worker? I'm playing a game as someone, and saw a Genoa colony in another civ's coastal tile, containing horse resource. It looks like trading post, but when I tried to pillage that I found out that the pillage button is not available. It a Genoa colony not pillageable?

In "...Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\[BNW] LS Civilization Set XII (v 11)" find and open "CaribbeanLSUnitCode.lua" in notepad or other text editor. Make sure you edit the version you are using.

Go to line 116 which is:
"jUnit:SetMoves(0)"
Either remove the line or replace it with: "jUnit:SetMoves(jUnit:MaxMoves())". (I am about 99% sure that removing the line would do a trick)

Okay, this isn't flawless (because you can actually gain infinite movement on the sea), but AI will not abuse it, so you just have to be honest to yourself and do not use this ability twice in a single turn.

This can be easily fixed by option a:
a) Make ability usable only when unit has full Movement:
Go to line 123 and replace "if iUnit:GetMoves() > 0 then" with "if iUnit:GetMoves() >= iUnit:MaxMoves() then".
b) Another solution would be to keep percentage of movement but it is more complicated and AI would not use it anyway.

Is it possible to make it so that the Buccaneers' land to navy ability not cost any movement points or be an automatic passive action whenever embarking and disenbarking? They are a really good dual unit, but the transition from sea to land takes two turns. That is two turns the enemy has to damage your troops while they do nothing.

Actual pirates and buccaneers were famous for how scary fast they attacked ships and ports before retreating back to sea before navel ships could respond. I feel that the Buccaneer should be able to do the land to sea traversal in a single move rather then two.

Otherwise, I'm enjoying your take on Henry Morgan! XD

It is increased with every tech granting Trade Route slot (don't remember if affected by Petra/Colossus).

@Matt
The button should appear in Unit Panel (where Upgrade, Fortify and other actions are), but may not work if you are using some mod with heavy UnitPanel changes.

Hi Teddyk, I am playing as Henry Morgan and have not unlocked both techs required for Bucaneer (Land) and Bucaneer naval version... But I cannot see how the convert them between the two? I try moving the land unit into the sea and it just embarks, I create the naval version and I cannot move it onto land??

I like using UU with Frigates as support fire, it is a bit similar to England, where you have to rush from Machinery to Navigation (England has spies helping a lot). Last game my Frigate + Balestrieli invasion turned into a failure, but it was probably too late (I was crippled by an early Gothic invasion).
I might think to make it being able to attack while embarked, though I am not sure how to make AI use such an ability.

UB, the "resource" is changing every 30 turns. It is a bit luck based (especially on larger maps), but the bonus itself is quite powerful once achieved. What I think I should do is better information display, pointing out which cities demanding resource are possible to establish Trade Route with.

Just played through this version of Genoa, and I have to say that I think you've finally found a solid UA for them. The previous ones were lackluster, but this one was great. Didn't feel overpowered though, because it was entirely tied to only Great Artists. I think this UA is a real keeper. The UU's extra combat strength was nice, but its ability is so incredibly specific that I never wound up getting to use it even once. It would be wise to take away the "must start turn on same tile as a naval unit" requirement for their ability to trigger. The UB was decent, but I found that I was only able to connect a resource a total of 5-6 times throughout the whole game, because the huge majority of requests were from cities that were located in places that were physically impossible to connect trade routes to from the specific one of my cities that posted those resource requests. Overall though, I enjoyed this civ a decent amount.

ok..got all your civs enabled now and i can load savegames. Here is the kicker that i cant figure. I had to Enable cloud saves in the steam client and use the cloud save option in civ 5. these i can load. REgular saves to my harddrive crash the game. NO clue as to why this would work. I have never ever used steam cloud saves ever before in any of my games.
But i dont care...it works and i can use your civs. ( with all your civ sets i am now rocking 245 mods )

First of all be sure that you haven't updated/added/disabled any mod (loading game with different mods will crash).
Optional: check if all mods are updated to last version.
Other than that it is quite interesting issue, I have personally never used more than 30 mods at once and unfortunately I never heard about your case.
I don't know, you can try do selective testing (use half of my mods, start-save-load; use second half ~ if only one group crashes, you divide this group again and (in perfect scenario issue would be tied to one set))
You can also try it with disabling other mods (about 10 at once OR the mods you believe are having the biggest impact on game).

If problem occurs only if you made a lot of turns (like 200, but no 1-10) it might be a Memory crash (simply using too many mods might reach fatal level).

hey Teddy loved the look of your civ mods so sub'd to all of them. The game starts and plays fine for as long as i play, however upon trying to load a save game it all crashes to desktop. I have GK/BNW with 200+ mods and with your mods disabled it all works. Any ideas on what incompatibilities i should be looking for?

I have only use the Carribean civ out of this pack (that is the main reason I got it). The buccaneer seemed like a cool unit, but it didn't seem to have much of an affect on the game. I never really got to take advantage of it. Then the land part of it becomes obsolete much sooner than the water part of it when you get riflemen. Seemed like a cool concept, but was underwhelming in practice.

I really am enjoying playing the Genoa. I'm not sure yet if how i feel about their UA, cause at times it feels weird or the placement for the new colony is kinda bad, but this civ is really fun to play as. I wish their war theme was longer though.

If i try anyway, Unrar says there is nothing to extract and if i try to unzip, there is nothing happening as well. Maybe a Mac problem (because you are talking of win rar and 7zip)?

Hey, i'm using Civ 5 on Steam for Mac, i subscribed to the Civ Set XII, but i cant get it running!? I searched online for help already, downloaded the pack from the dropbox and put it manually in the MODS forlder, this won't work as well... Any ideas?
