Seriously though, this mod's amazing. I've been avoiding Ancients in particular for so long because of how mixed-up things immediately get due to muddy nomenclature. Clarity is underrated as hell.
As I'm already haveing to re-work the research, may I use (at least some of) your names? like "beastiagenetics", I love that!
The xml to fix in vegenetics_patch.xml is too long to put here, so I have added it to a pastebin.

This is likely a copy\paste error. The description tag takes a string not a list of strings, resulting in a null description which apparently borks Research Tree. Easy fix.
It's because <requiredResearchBuilding> is defined twice in resplicecore_defs.xml file. Could this be related to ResearchTree issue?
Another one is " [Progression: Genetics] Patch operation Verse.PatchOperationReplace(Defs/AchievementsExpanded.AchievementDef[defName="GR_AchievementMyFirstLab"]/label) failed "
I don't even have achievements expanded mod. Probably "MayRequire" attribute doesn't work or something is wrong with caching on my end.
Gives the error "Exception filling window for FluffyResearchTree.MainTabWindow_ResearchTree:System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object".
Found this out after removing the mod and the research tree's search bar magically started working again along with no performance issues.
