Tried to build this building as an outpost, but as soon as I confirmed it placement, leaving the building setting. My game crashed. I only placed this building nothing else. So just a heads up I would save your game before trying to build this.

What I love the most about this building is that it's basically the same size but taller. So if you want to make just one building with enough space for a small group but don't want to spend too many resources this is it!!. Fully recommend, can't live without this convenience tbh

I've tested the mod and it's working great. I don't understand people complaining about something that is free and that is made with love.
If you are having FPS issues go a try Losseless Scaling for Kenshi, it works like a charm!

I feel like a lot of people complaining about bugs here aren't super familiar with Kenshi or are blaming this mod for issues caused by unrelated things. This mod absolutely should not be causing out of memory errors. It's using entirely vanilla textures, all found on the regular storm house. Kenshi is a bit of a mess of a game quite frankly and isn't the most stable.

If this is literally the only mod you have installed and it's causing your game to crash then I will take your complaint seriously, but over the years I have encountered countless complaints about various mods I've made from people which are caused by other mods or are literally just vanilla Kenshi behaviour. A good example is the player complaining they can't enter the building. This is a reocurring issue in Kenshi, try regenerating your navmesh sector maybe that will fix it. This mod never caused my game to crash once during the development of it and has not done so in years since using it.

Great mod, thanks. One note - the exterior lighting attachment points on one side of the building are upside down. I just attached a couple spotlights and they're shining into the sky.

Now all we need to complete the set is a 3-storey version as an alternative to the vanilla tower building. I never did like the weird asymmetrical shape of the tower, and I'm sure many others share the same opinion. The rounded interior also means that placing furniture can be a major pain. Having an alternate version that's square and angular would be perfect!

@Reviera Check mod order. Crashes happen mostly because of mod order things. No way this house makes you crash unless there is something else in your modlist

I love this mod. It is simple, vanilla styled and effective. Can you come up with more variations to the storm house? Like a Stack house with a bigger first floor and a small second floor with an open space to put some tables?

So, this caused me to crash. It's in the order where it needs to be. Something about distance and memory as the error pop up.

Fantastic mod. Extremely finicky with placement though, like vanilla buildings. Might be worth looking into adjusting placement variables to loosen up placement restrictions, like Slopeless. Regardless, thanks for the great mod!

I cant particularly see why it would conflict with genesis. That being said you can pretty much assume 90% plus mods on the workshop will not work well with Genesis as it is too large and wide reaching of a mod to avoid compatibility issues.

This doesn't work for me, specifically. Can't really say which of my mods it conflicts with, but I'd suspect Genesis. There doesn't seem to be a bug reporting thread, so I figured I'd just do so in the comments.

The bug is basically that the game crashes with the crash dialogue, so not a hard crash, the moment I click on 'stack house'.

Sad for me, but I have plenty of nice buildings to choose from with Genesis. I just thought a two-story-and-roof Storm House would be cool.

why... WHY THE HELL! was this NOT in the base game?! seriously it looks great & I could totally see the bulk of the buildings in the Hub or Big Holy Nation cities being these or at least a derivative with an interior hall & make it 2 separate "rooms" on the first floor.

Nvm maybe it was pure coincidence that it crashed or the readjustment of my load order fixed the problem.

Sadly game crashes immediately after trying to build it don't know if another Mod is causing it can't tell which Mod i use would cause problems with a building since i don't have that much building mods.

Lots of people are asking for more floors. I believe the limit of floors possible within the game is 3 and a roof. I'm not planning on making a 3 story version. This mod represents a lot more work than I think some people realise. I'm not prepared to pour more time in to it right now.

this with 3 and 4 story versions would seem reasonable within the worlds typical building style if it was possible without too much hassle.

This reminds me of the original houses in the main city during the launch of the game, when only humans males were playable and not much customization was a thing, and the Gutters were insane. Good to bring back a classic but with a modern twist.
