Hey @oskr13, apparently your mod just got buggy regarding the inmates working in wig production and the barbershop itself, at least with the Second Chances DLC active, as I can't get the inmates to work in the locations added by the mod (even though in the logistics menu inform that there is someone allocated to work in these places, the detainee will be doing other random work ).

But needs-wise, the how-to-cut program, and other elements seem to work pretty well even today, so the mod has aged pretty well for something that isn't being updated.

Anyway, I'm grateful for the mod, I'll keep using it, and I'm glad you liked it that someone translated it into another language :)

@oskr13 the mod works for the current update for me, but there's a bug in the random number generation. It seems that lua is rounding 0.7 down to 0 when calling math.random(lower, upper), and as a result is making only blonde strands for me, instead of all three.

Sorry guys, I am no longer updating this mod since a few years now.
The mod may be broken by all the updates, I was using a sprite file that may have been completly reworked and icons may be broken now.

@corey, i thought th emod would be broken because I haven't updated it since a couple of years !
It was updated for the 1.4 version of the game. There has been plenty of updates since then, and some of them modify game files I was using in the mod (sprites for example). A lot of players reported the mod not working anymore.
That's also maybe the cause of your missing red wigs. I am sorry but have no time now to update the mod, hope some red hair will spawn soon ;)

@oskr13 ok thanks I was just playing and could get the blonde wigs done but no red wigs were being made and was just wondering if it was broken or something. Thanks for the reply and how come you thought the mod might not work anymore?

@Corey : that's crazy that the mod still work on your game.
Red hair are very rare (maybe a bit too rare). They spawn rarely, and the best advice is to create a big room and place many mirrors. The more mirrors you have, the more hair you will have, and so more chance to have a red one.

How often does red hair get cut or how can i make red wigs

I had worked hard to "fully" integrate my mod to the game, with adding icons to game menu and such... so each new update add new sprite to the game file, and it mess things a bit more in the mod files... I am sorry, but it's been too long since I dind't open the game and I won't even know where to start... One sure thing is that a modder can easily access the files by downloading it, and modify them for an update. Maybe you can find someone in the Introversion Forum that can update the mod, feel free to ask

oskr13 - keep_on@ : all I did to solve my problem was to update sprites.png and ui.png

@Sint vaffel : I am sorry, but my job is pretty time consuming now, and I cant' find the time to solve the issue. If someone know how to code and have time to fix it, I will be very glad, but I can't do it myself now.

@Batgirl : don't want to be too long by explaining why, but the different update since 3.0 have changed the game's UI icon. My mod used to change them also, so sadly I am pretty sure your problem comes from my mod :(

idk if its a bug or mod conflict but this mod seems to make the floor ui menu icon disappear

I can't seem to hire anybody to work in the barber shop. I've got my chief, got my room set up but in the menu to hire inmates into rooms, there's not option for this room to hire people. Any advise would be appreciated :)

hum. Again, the way hair color is "divided" is a % of chance to be either blond/brown/red...
If you only get blond color, it is very strange... If you were only looking for red...well red are very very rare (in small/medium prison) but ok... but hey ! only blond is very strange...

If you are wiling to try with all the others mods disable, in a fresh prison...
But I have no idea...

Are you using others mods ? Its really strange, and nobody never had this issue before (or at least, nobody talks about it here)... I have no idea what may cause this

Reinstalling the mod had no effect.

@darthz42 : based on how the mod works, it is not really "possibe", because hair color use a % of chance to be either blond/brown/red...
Try re-install it, and let me know if the issue persist

@c_matte3 : yes it can be hard to collect, but the more mirrors you installed, the more chance you get. If you have a small prison with small room (and then only a few prisoners capable of using mirrors..) you won't collect a lot of hair, so red hair will be especially rare. Try to go larger.
Keep in mind that red hair are a high source of income, so having a too large number of red boxes to sold will affct the "balance" of the game, and it will become too easy to make cash...

fyi: deathrow doesnnt have a roster really. my deathrow sits in their own room.. maybe placing the chair in the room works? i know they dont use canteen nothing..

Evangelos : I don't remember very well how the "death row" thing works but if you can put a chair near your inmates when they have free time, they will use it and this will lower their barbery need.
I used to place some chairs where inmates eat so they can use it during lunch scheddule

@ Jackson Evans : I think you are talking about another mod, because the only "person" that ever be hire in my mod is the barber chief. Or you may be talking about the fact that janitors were able to collect strands instead of prisoners. Since I had a research program and a lot of improvments, thats not the case anymore, so only prisoners that have passed the program can collect and work...

hey creator, your talking about the barber chief.. i was talking about barber staff that cutts prisoners hair incase they refuse too work lol.
