Yup it works. Only thing is that since the holes need to be dug out first there should be a check to make sure the entrance is actually finished

support for Deep And Deeper would be nice! At a glance you may only need to add your comps to their ShashlichnikCaveEntrance def with an xml patch but I'll test it myself soon

Much appreciated! Especially since those caves are more permanent. Pit gates only act as wastepack dumps until the boss dies of tox exposure, then ya gotta summon a new one lol

Could you give the pit exit in the undercave the same function? You can find ores and stuff in the undercave but there is no good way to move the resources out of it into your colony other than manually carrying stacks out individually

Can you make inside of the pit gate dumpable too? It would be nice if you could send someone in there to retrieve things and they would dump them back outside

That sounds like a "future me" problem.

@₱ⱧØⱤØ₴ there is no penalty for dumping waste packs, other than having to explore a poisonous cave when/if you go down there to destroy the dreadmeld and close the pit gate.

Should i expect the wastepacks thrown in there backfire on my colonists?

i just love that you saw how players can throw their garbage in this giant gate to some hellish fleshbeast nest and went "but what if i automated it?"

hm funny idea just dumping tons of tox packs then send a single pawn with a molly down there to burn it all (send a imp with gasmask)

I dunno if it would be in scope, but could you do this in reverse? A "dumping" tab to let you push things out of the pit onto the surface, I have a bad habit of farming every ounce of mine-able material and deconstructing stuff and then shoving it back up. It can be done manually like this it's just a pain in the ass and I'd rather throw a few rock constructs down there and let them haul things up while I walk away and play the game xD

@Macropod Everything you dump will be down there waiting for you. I don't know if it's compatible with the hygiene mod, but feel free to try it out!
