I get where you're coming from I understand that

this whole thing's a giant mess but even if this ends up causing nintendo content to not be allowed on the workshop atleast I still got the addons I archived so I can just drop them into my gmod addon folder

plus I kinda don't know how nintendo's gonna easily get away with this one because them taking things down has only made more of those things appear to take their place that's the streisand effect at work right there so there's probably still gonna be a few nintendo addons left after all this blows over

yeah that's pretty much how I see it like yeah sure it might be "wrong" that it got ripped right out the files but at the end of the day this was just a bunch of nintendo fans wanting to play around with their favorite characters in gmod plus the mods didn't even cost anything they were free so nintendo wasn't losing much anyway

I Honestly have no idea, to be honest. I'm kind of on both sides of the coin here with this whole thing.

On the one hand... a LOT of these nintendo addons and maps are just RIPPED straight from the files of Nintendo games, which is... kind of morally wrong if you think about it. But on the OTHER hand.... A lot of the addons were by Nintendo fans who did it for fun and for free.

Using Nintendo characters in a competing game actually does hurt the original games in their market. That’s why copyright is s thing
