To save a minuscule amount of data, I only shipped the .rpy files and let the game compile the .rpyc ones. Seems that unsubscribing from the mod does not delete the .rpyc files created, and they're still read from for some reason. I'll push an update including these files so they're properly removed. You'll have to subscribe to the mod again, boot up the game, close the game, then unsubscribe again.

I have run into an issue where unsubscribing from Red Pen makes the game completely unplayable.

I wouldn't normally recommend players experience a game for the first time with mods but for this I would make an exception. You successfully made an amazing experience even better. Thank you for all of the work that you put into this.

I have not verified any function on android, so no guarantee it works. I think your device must be rooted to have access to the data folders. If you can do that, you can definitely hunt down the mod folder wherever the game is installed to. The data location for the mod on Steam is "steamapps\workshop\content\1895350\3231493055\mods". Install like any non-workshop mod.

Having already played through the game twice (with E4 on the first playthrough, followed by E2 on the second), I was able to recognize the differences between the Vanilla and RedPen versions of the script without having to review the files (which were still a delight to read through, especially with your anecdotes that gave a "behind the scenes commentary" experience). Thanks to that, I was able to appreciate your extensive work and effort to all the higher a degree.

I really should give the translations a fairer shake. Honestly, if I had any idea that Cavemanon's community had such a large Non-English/ESL demographic (and knew how Renpy handles translations), I probably wouldn't have bothered with the English copyedit side of this project. Oh well.

never mind, soon as i say that i figured it out. apparently this mod doesnt play nice with the Rebirth and Recovery, and Snoot Core lib mods.

Just got this, and I'm getting exception errors popping up occasionally. Honestly not sure what to do.

Played with this a while ago and am only now realizing just how disappointed I am with the state of the base game. Some of these fixes you made are so simple and obvious that I didn't realize they were from your mod. The devs should seriously consider integrating your edits.

I have added no songs. All are present in the OST/base game files. You can find them in game/audio/music. The major recuts are:

- The OST track "Mural de Melanoma"* has two distinct movements. I split it into two loops.
- The song that plays at the resort is called "Finding Yourself" on the B-side. Turns out there are a few tracks on the B-side that weren't used. This is the only one present in the game files.
- All the various tracks that play during the formal are used, but they're all queued together with the queue constantly being reset, so it's unlikely you'll hear any except the first track in the base game. It's a major shame, StegoStarry Night is great.

* Why the fuck is it called this? Mural is nearly identical to the track "Inco and Olivia" but much more involved, and it acts as their primary couple theme. "Inco and Olivia" plays only once in the novel, at the BBQ where they call the painting mural de melanoma. The names should have been swapped.

VERY late to the party with this but it's genuinely fantastic, almost every single change positively affects the game and in all honesty any excuse to just play the game again was a good enough reason to try it out. Absolutely fantastic work on this.

(One thing is there any place to find the Red-Pen OST?? some of the added songs are actually amazing and i wouldn't mind simply hearing them fully even if its just through digging through the Local Files of the mod)

Sadly, no. The game commits a cardinal sin of game development; directly writing the primary language script into the program instead of using pointers. Any changes to the baseline script break translations, even if it's as small as changing punctuation. I honestly should disable translations if the mod is installed.

And so, the dreaded "it works on my machine" strikes again. I cannot reproduce any errors. The Coach Solly scene works for me. I need the error screen to chase this down. But I can offer a few things to try in the meantime.

First, if you havent, unsub from the mod, then verify the game install. Resub. It should download a new copy of the mod. Most likely its a corrupted install.

Second, if you have any other mods going, I cant guarantee compatibility. Though I have zero clue what other mods would interact with that scene. If such a conflict was the cause, I could patch if I knew the exact error.

Odd that both of these have come in on the same day. Would be strange if literally no one else has said anything during the week that has passed since my last update push. Theres been no mass subloss that would indicate catastrophic errors.

Well, no. You're not 'respecting' us by not submitting things to patch, you're passing up an opportunity to make the game better.

At the least, objective fixes like code or semi-objective changes like text styles and improved choreography are welcome additions, but there's no such thing a brazen change, because at worse that specific change just doesn't get implemented.

based, so based... the fact that cavedevs left some things unfinished isn't really known to people. you didn't had to do this mod in the first place, but know this, that we or at least I am proud of you and your dedication and I'm glad to witness that

Haven't played yet but this is a 10/10 mod from the looks of it. Love, effort, and much more was obviously poured into this mod. Wani was already an amazing game, but this is perfecting it. Keep up the good work, mate! If yer trying to find artists or musicians, I hope the search goes well.

Integration of english script changes fouls all the translation files. The novel would have to be refactored from the ground up on how it integrates the english script to prevent this from happening in the future.

Not to mention to give a completely asspull assumption, ~5% of the script would have to be retranslated, or translated fresh. I highly doubt any of the translation team wants that extra workload.

While I'd be willing to work with a team to bring this about, there is zero way I'm doing it alone. This was already a titanic effort. Also, I may be hubristic enough to put out a competing cut, but not enough to go to the actual devs and effectively say "You suck, use my stuff."

...All that said, I have left comprehensive notes of my changes and why I made them written directly into the script files.

If you're willing, you can submit any of these changes upstream to get them into the base game. No guarantee's, just everything needs to be reviewed. Submit a PR and/or send an email with changes.
