I'll try to update the mod around a week after "All Under Heaven" DLC comes out. As I sadly lack the time currently and also, with such big DLC the mod will most likely need a rework anyway.

It seems since the last maj the mod create 95% of the time "apocalyptic" plagues, I try wit hand without the mod activated and it seems "Reasonable Epidemics" is in charge, but I coulb be wrong and It's another one.

@TAH1225 Well, i think it (basically completely depopulated areas being somehow more vulnerable to plagues) wouldn't make any sense, but you're totally free to make your own mod based on this idea :P

Personally, I think you should make a verson, where it's just hell, if you have like 0-2 Dev, near 0% Def. vs outbreaks

thanks. ill test as Byzantium then as rome, they seem to have uber plague issues lol. Might make for a good testing ground, i dunno:P

Updated for 1.14.2.2., did a bit of testing and it seems to be working fine. I don't have the time for extensive testing right now, so let me know if you encounter any issues.

This is the only point that raises questions.It seems to me that this should not be the case, and this is a bit contrary to the very idea of an epidemic.

Is the mod achievement friendly? I'm very tempted to grab it, since I don't personally own the DLC and have been getting loads of TB outbreaks in my realm, but I do still want to try and get some achievements. Sounds like a great mod!

@eoinraffs That's definitely not precise enough to determine if there's an issue. Generally "nearly 0" in 1-5 years may happen (but is still rather unlikely), especially in early start dates - the frequency goes up in proportion to development later on. "Nearly 0" in 10 years is very unlikely, "nearly 0" in more than 10 years is virtually impossible. If that's the case it may be some load order issue, but like i already wrote, "nearly 0" is definitely not precise enough. I guess the frequency may simply seem quite low to some people, compared to base game absurd amounts of spam.

Is this compatible with most recent version? With this mod enabled, the frequency of diseases is nearly 0. When I disable it I get normal amount of diseases.

I noticed you said the mod was updated for 1.12.5, but my launcher is for some reason saying it's still made for 1.12.4. This might be some weird error on my end, not sure.

@Galahad Considering the changes made by Paradox in conjunction with the mod, epidemics experience should be generally much less annoying. The biggest thing in the update are the fixes for the issues I didn't adress - events and AI reactivity, PDX didn't make any drastic changes to the files I edited (sadly no major fixes here), soo for me It was an easier update than expected and thanks to that, the balance of the mod stays mostly the same. I still have some testing to do though (wanted to deliver update quckly, so It wasn't tested as thoroughly as I'd like)

@Phoenix Nebula It should "work", but definitely won't fully affect new plague types. i.e - spread chance, epidemic resistance impact etc. should work perfectly fine (if the mod authors changed how some base game concepts like development work, it may get a bit unbalanced and weird tho), but for example max counties covered by those new epidemics wont be affected (it's virtually impossible without a compatch)

@alegdansk 1 & 3 sound just like things Paradox may add somewhere down the line, 2 would be difinitely tricky to make, and I think there already are mods that allow renaming virtually every character. I'm afraid I lack both time and dedication to make and especially to maintain too many mods at a time.
