so my bro stands beside the workbench and nothing happens hes just standing there waiting for the dawn or smth.

It appears that pawns ignore all needs when working at this bench. I have pawns that are starving themselves while doing repair bills. Any way to stop this?
Slippery When Wet 24. aug. kl. 12:25
fixed red error text when interacting bench by unsubscribing and resubscribing
Clairelenia 21. aug. kl. 11:22
this mod causes a red error :( i don't know how to fix it, pls an update would be nice or if anybody knows what causes the error, so i can fix it myself :D tyy
DarthBrawn 13. aug. kl. 14:33
I think this repair workbench uses a much better mechanic than the superfast mending benches in VFE ancients. With this mod, the penalty for failure or low-skill repairing is just ticks wasted --- which is nicely balanced IMO

Unfortunately the repair bench is murder on TPS and I get quite a few red errors. Both the errors and lag disappear once I delete all the repair bench bills.

I realize it's just a forked mod rn, but if someone could make this mod performance friendly, it would be lovely

This mod works for me too. Though pawns only repair things when there is more than or exact repair kits available for the said item. Otherwise, it wont repair the item. For faster repair, it can be configured in the mod settings
thesoupiest 10. aug. kl. 14:22
A higher-tier spacer-level workbench might make sense
thesoupiest 10. aug. kl. 14:22
Correction: This mod DOES work for me, but BOY does it go slow. It makes it seem as though marine armor takes longer to repair than it does to make, which strikes me as odd. Perhaps the work speed of the bench simply needs to be sped up? Even at 3x game speed the progress moves at a crawl
Skeleton Man 10. aug. kl. 0:03
Having an issue where repairs are taking longer than expected while using a slower pawn tickrate. the "Recycle This" mod was having a similar issue which might have to do with the repair method not taking into account how much time has actually passed since the last time it was called.
ISee 5. aug. kl. 14:04
It doesn't take items from some custom containers or armor racks and book shelves, if you're using vanilla shelves, it should work...
mikerevelle 5. aug. kl. 13:23
Doesn't work for me. says "missing materials to repair" but like half my stuff is <50%
Synthawk 3. aug. kl. 17:25
This also isn't working for me. Made a bill to run forever and repair composite helmets and composite vests <80% health and >good quality. Says missing materials to repair. However if I disable the ingredient requirement and make it just free, it works fine. Doesn't seem to be recognizing the repair kits themselves at all.
Michiko 26. juli kl. 18:39
Works fine for me. Just gotta set up some bills. I also adjusted it to be faster. It looks like it isn't working sometimes because of how slowly it repairs by default. It's like +1 HP per second, so if you got some 150 hp equipment that'll take like 2.5 minutes to repair.
Onyx 25. juli kl. 8:36
Straight up does not work. I got stuff at like 50%, I got like 20 repair kits, "Can't work at repair workbench: Missing materials to repair any damaged item"?
basedleua 21. juli kl. 10:00
if it helps just use igrediets settigs

УРААААААААА! 1.6! Спасибо! ОГРОМНОЕ СПАСИБО! *звуки поклона* :wyllhappy:
Ruby 18. juli kl. 8:41
Thank you so much for the update!
ISee 17. juli kl. 18:56
You need to make a bill at the repair bench
Fritigern 17. juli kl. 17:47
@GwinnBleidd I was trying to repair anything and everything, mainly just basic marine armour and assault rifles.I hand crafted about 200 kits, nothing. Used dev mode to spawn a thousand. Nothing. Messed with jobs and bills, nothing. Went into the mod options to turn off the repair kit need to see if they would do it without, still nothing. I don't use any mods that add items just quality of life stuff.
ISee 17. juli kl. 5:05
I might do it when I have free time
GwinnBleidd  [ophavsmand] 17. juli kl. 3:22
it work for me, if it fails to repair something for you, please add your mod list, indicate the item you are trying to repair and whether you use repair kits or not?
GwinnBleidd  [ophavsmand] 17. juli kl. 3:19
@ISee sorry to hear that.
I don't really add features, it's not my mod oriinally, so I just maintain it
GwinnBleidd  [ophavsmand] 17. juli kl. 3:18
@Fritigern what are you trying to repair?
youj5959 17. juli kl. 1:05
압도적 감사!!:steamthis::steamthumbsup::steamthis:
Fritigern 16. juli kl. 23:11
Doesn't appear to be working. Doesn't matter how many hundreds of repair kits you craft or how you change the mod options, it still just says "Cannot repair item steel electric workbench: Missing materials to repair damaged items."
ISee 16. juli kl. 19:43
If you fix that bookcase thing please show me what you did, I tried doing it for 4 hours and failed miserably.
ISee 16. juli kl. 19:42
It doesn't scan for items in bookcases, but it scans for items on the ground, in shelves and custom containers like boxes from neat storage. Also would be cool if it checked for items equipped by pawns so we don't have to make duplicate sets for pawns to replace when their durability gets low.
ISee 16. juli kl. 19:34
Man I've spent whole night updating this thing just to see you've updated it XD
Yippo the Clown 16. juli kl. 19:17
Thank you <3
GwinnBleidd  [ophavsmand] 16. juli kl. 19:13
Updated to 1.6.
I don't play much RimWorld these days, so I didn't test it too much. Please report back any issues
ThisIsBlecki 15. juli kl. 11:20
Would be nice if this will get an update :)
Yippo the Clown 15. juli kl. 9:37
Hoping for a 1.6 update :) No rush, but it would be appreciated if Mx. Author could post to let people know if it's being worked on or if we should look for alternatives. Thank you <3
Beaver 14. juli kl. 20:22

Hoping this will be updated for 1.6
Hammerlord 12. juli kl. 0:36
For those of you trying to use this mod anyways, it doesn't seem to work in 1.6.

ISee 6. juli kl. 11:00
1.6 pls
Wrekh 25. maj kl. 10:31
I was a bit confused why I couldn't construct a repair bench and then I noticed you need to research it first. Doh!
FluffyXai 7. maj kl. 5:59
Hmm, I changed the mod to the bottom of the load order and it seems to have worked? although the pawns seem to get slightly confused at first when placing things on the repair bench it worked eventually.
FluffyXai 6. maj kl. 13:13
I'm getting a problem where my pawns seem to extremely rapidly be cancelling and re-initiating the task and are just stuck frozen and unable to break the loop.
I have no idea what might be causing this. Anyone else had something similar that might help to narrow it down?

The pawns just don't move, constantly trying to point to the workbench saying "repairing [item]"
Though, from what I have seen with this game, it feels like they should be pointing to the item to go get it first?
Anyway the line is pointing to the workbench and just flickering like it's repeating dozens of times a second and they aren't moving
if it helps, the item being repaired are bionic prosthetics which might be from a mod
msl 19. apr. kl. 11:49
OK, I just found the solution, for others: Mod option/Repair Workbench/Resource: NONE (default was Repair_Kit).
msl 19. apr. kl. 11:43
Hello, I can't repair on Repair Workbench because of "Missing material". I have 30x Repair Kits, >200 steel, plasteel, cloth, components and of course damaged appareal (for example Flak Pants). How can I repair it, please? Which material can be missing? I don't have the original mod. Thank you.
Starina 12. apr. kl. 18:33
Just what i needed, can use resources to repair equipment. Good mod :luv:
kokodorejr 13. mar. kl. 17:35
if you're wondering why there's no repair workbench, you need to research it
Skeleton Man 3. mar. kl. 11:33
Nevermind. Figured it out. Repairkits had a huge stack making effectively only that stack available for jobs. Other pawns trying to find repair kits would search a massive area for extra kits. Reducing the stack size and the job's search area curbed it significantly.
Skeleton Man 3. mar. kl. 11:11
I have a strange issue I can't track down with this mod. I notice several-second-long freezes whenever a pawn goes to repair an item (maybe having to do with a bunch of items?) I've checked with Dubs Performance analyzer and the work giver for repair is absolutely the one spiking to 1800ms. It also seems that pawns will only use one workbench at a time to repair, even though I have multiple available.

Thank you so much for saving this mod!

@Nic13#EZ
I'm sorry for neglecting to follow the comments and respond to everyone. It's been a hectic few months as I've been focused on job hunting, which is still ongoing.
At this time I'm not adding any new functions, unfortunately
Nic13#EZ 19. nov. 2024 kl. 8:26
Hi! Is it possible to add a function to the mod to repair items worn by characters?
