which i should've responded nicely in the lines of
"you can't, there's no way to hide this addon unless you're the owner of it. it's better to leave a dislike or not click on it so it may not show up in your recommendations."
instead of being passive-aggressive there (which i'm aware can be easily mistaken for being a jerk and could cause people to dislike bomb or critical to a shoddy response).
- more than likely it seems like it's always more often people that a creator pissed off by saying something really dumb.
don't click on it, simple as.
Even claiming that something is botted when people may click on something that looks interesting to them (and quickly contributing views to it, not helping that the ones getting angry also boost it too).
