With all that said and done, I wonder if someone will make an anime adaption of the Island of Doctor Moreau, but with a kemono artstyle?
one is more animal-like, often close to the design philosophy of cartoons with exaggerated animalistic features and such, which many may find repulsive, which is understandable;
the other is more close to the design philosophy of anime, with more human-like features, which is more visually appealing but some will still find it repulsive due to said reasons.
both have a lot of good artists (and bad ones, though it's rare for kemono) and it usually doesn't depend on where they live to be classified as either one of the above.
