@DDkiki A lot of things relating to this mod is currently broken i'm actually working on it, but i recently ran i to a new problem relating to iron golems just as i found a fix a new unique problem emerged.

I recommend turning this mod off for the time being until it one day updates.

Hey, I think wardoggos are broken with this mod(dont have any model at all), tried everything by changing order of this mod and its parent, but nothing helps.
I know this mod has pretty sad history of breaking so i think its not big matter now, just wanted to report problem.

@drew_west Sadly no but i've got some good news on that front i think i know a way i could re implement culture golems, how ever i need time and that's a resource i only have so much of especially considering there is a dlc i need to update and make stuff for in like 2 weeks a culture mod that needs finishing (almost done) and a culture mod that needs a complete remake (because it kinda suck) also moding burnout is a thing i want to avoid.

Some day when the 2 first things are done i will convince myself in to doing it just need time.

Hey, noticed they said in the beta patch notes they'd made some adjustments to modding. Has it improved the situation with the golems at all?

@drew_west Will look into it when i find time dlc will break a lot based on my recent testing with the beat so i want to prioritize fixing that first.

@drew_west I know dlc messed that part of the mod really hard, I am currently too busy working on a bunch of other stuff so fixing iron golems isn't high priority.

@Outis Just this mod alone won't work you must have the required mod active as well. Otherwise it won't have the modified assist it requires to work.

For Testing purposes, I disabled all other mods and only enabled this mod. The Ironclad is still invisible. With this mod disabled the Ironclad becomes visible.

@Outis It works for me you are using that lore mod or a balance mod or something else that undo the thing i did, Loade this mod at the bottom of your loade order.

For some reason this mod is making Ironclad unit invisible on map, the Army Display, and on Unit Details screen

@drew_west Doesn't matter now i fixed it.

@DDkiki I think the reason they left it is because it's still used as an early game marauder unit for derelict workshop so as not to make them impossible early on due to the fact most counstructs are 3 or higher.

its broken because it kinda doesn't exist anymore, there is no way to get golem assistant for heroes since this skill was removed and not implemented in the new system.

Hey Von Schnitzel. The iron golem assistant (the non tome smaller one) model is totally broken. Dunno why just go into the unit encyclopedia to see what I mean. Ive tested out all your mods and its this one in particular that causes the issue. Thanks

@ffasgaidd I mentioned this it's because the new update fucked golems completely i have removed them temporarily until i can implement a workaround.

It's a pity! But the mod doesn't work, or rather half, the hounds and andarmadillo (I hope I translated it correctly) working, golems no, vanilla only! I Tried verify integrity of game cache, and even reinstalled the game, result is the same!

Because of changes made to the game in the upcoming patch cultural iron golems is no longer possible, The current situation is grim but there is still a glimmer of hope, I'am going to have to look in to some workarounds there are a few things i think could work but this may take some time.

The mod will still receive an update as all the other things still work its just golems so if anyone is wondering why golems are no longer in the golem mod thats why and hopefully this is only temporary.

@Paladin The only way i think i could fix this is by creating a second hidden version and make it so that you recruit that one and leave the original as it was before edit, This would make it so that anything using the default unit would not have any customizations but the one you recruit would, How ever it would create an awkward 2 of the same unit situation when in another mod modified the same unit.

Not sure if there is a quick way to do so, i believe it's a quest related with either Industrious culture or Materium affinity, but that's it. Unfortunately, I lost the save I made just before the completion of this quest, my workaround was to disable the mod, trigger quest completion event, get golems, and turn the mod back on. Golems I received as a reward haven't changed their appearance after I reenabled the mod and had a default skin thereafter.

This mod breaks quests that would give you Iron golem units as reward - you receive no units.

i think this would be more effort than its worth. its just that i didnt think of the lore mod as "modifying the unit" so i had to debug all my mods for an hour to find out what the fuck is going on :-)

@I come in Peace This mod won't work with any mods that modify any of the units listed at the top, This is because i have to enable use structure race on the units and no there is no way around this other then loading it above the other mod i think or maby its below i still don't know which will take load priority.

Alternatively if someone care enough they can always make a compatibility patch but then we're back at load orders again so maybe not.

would it be possible to do the gargoyle i like every thing about it except how it looks ? i just don't like the design they went with i find the whole flotey pieces thing unpleasant to look at . you could replace it with different Types of Statues for the Culture as an idea. for Example angel Statues for High.

@SprendiX And u are using the required mod? it is possible some other mod is replacing the arcon asset file i would recommend disabling the folowing mods if u are using any of them https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3008424879 and https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3076927649 both used the arcon file att some point and my still be ther if u used it when they were released.

And you did Verify integrity of game cache?

Also the unit u describe is called Ironclad in English that is why i had no idea what u ment.

No, I'm not using the mod that you specified.
I only use the golem mod.
A huge iron steam engine with guns))) in my localization it is called "Armadillo"

@SprendiX Let me guess your using this mod https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2991355200 if so don't it's outdated and replaces the asset file with an older one breaking a bunch of stuff.

If that doisent fix it then Verify integrity of game cache, This will re download all mods so if the mod did not update its files properly this should fix it.

Also what unit is Armadillo i have never heard of it before?

@CapnCrunk This mode is not compatible with any mods that changes the same units this is because other mods remove the one neseary change i had to do in order for this to work, this can be fixed on ther end how ever by enabling the Is Culture Unit, Ther is nothing i can do and no ther are no workarounds i already tried everything i culd think off.

So do any stat change mods affect the model change as well? For some reason I have no model update on my Reaver play through, but still do on one of my Feudal plays. I did have a model change the other day on a Reaver play, however. But I slapped in a whole mess of new mods between those two points, and some of them may have been stat changes.

I have decided that i'm going to keep this mod dedicated specifically to constructs and the other part of the mod is going to be its own mod this is so that people will have more choice in case you don't want your Lost Souls or Bicycle Droods to have Culture or Race stuffe.

@Yikes If the mod changes the base Iron golem unit or model then yes it is not going to work (won't break anything other than the model reverting to the old) but if it doesn't touch iron golem then every thing should be fine.
