It's very funny, but I found the reason. Arma can't run more than 450 mods at the same time, so there was a mistake, so it turned out that your mod was 451

thta's an oddly specific error. i've not heard of a mod or anything causing that. sadly i have no idea where to begin with troubleshooting

I don't understand what the problem is, but when I try to start the game with your mod, the game won't start and says that "the game or the battleye couldn't be started"

When you unpack the mods US_2027.pbo file and find the config file inside the units folder, and then find this section, adding "side = 1;" under displayName="US Army 2027", this fixes the faction side issue, I'm guessing without an entry it will place the faction by default into REDFOR, which was the original problem.

Thanks for getting back to me, I think I located the problem for the 2027 mod, that the CfgFactionClasses only provides the display name but requires a side = 1 column to inform that the faction falls under the BLUFOR Category. I hope this information gives you a shortcut at least.

the issue isn't something you specifically can fix. its an issue at the core level of the faction that for whatever reason is causing it to show as OPFOR when I have set to BLUFOR. It's something I have to fix on my end to correct.

I feel bad for bothering you again, but yes the 2027 mod version does load in, but when I load OPCOM mod, the 2027 faction is listed in the OPFOR list. I'm not having luck figuring out how to edit something so it goes under BLUFOR. I need to do this because it creates friendly fire bugs.

the other version of this should work. i did make that one through ALIVE so it would properly utilized. I need to finalize some issues with the W28: KAOS mod first before I include it as a dependency and add in the new faction variants.

Its not a simple fix you can do. its entirely an issue on my end

@Keter i need to go through and update this. Currently the faction was not made properly due to some issues. I intend to fix that soon enough and include new version of the units to have Woodland, Tropical, and Arctic camouflage as well.

I do have a follow up question, isn't it possible to replace the default NATO faction and it's contents with a mod faction's contents? Just looking at ways I could fix this OPCOM issue.

I used this with OPCOM and it placed this faction in 'EAST', I'm trying to figure out how to edit this because I can't use it to play against EAST [typical OPFOR factions] without causing bugs in my scenario because the US Army faction is also in the EAST side. I don't have much modding experience so I'd like a pointer as to why this is happenning.

not currently, i would like to make that happen again though. I have to go in and fix the configs to prevent the ALIVE loadout manager from overriding the randomizer

It's going to be a continuation of my S&S KAOS mod but with 43 different camos for the W28 and W35 mods. I'm also going to look at setting up actual factions for the different camos, but only select ones since the intent of KAOS is to provide a westernized OPFOR or Mercenary set or training factions

@Fedrix Thank you mate! I really try to make content that I believe will do the best to help you all with your missions and stories, but also to have fun so I really appreciate the support.

I do have to say that I am looking into a set of retextures that might be included in this mod that will give this the ability to have more options for operations. This would include Arctic, Tropical, Woodland, and Black Ops camouflage based on the OCP.

Once college is over with i'll be doing some experimenting with retextures but if things work out well enough I'll see if can include them in here for you guys to enjoy as well.

Project Sentinel will most likely be updated with a streamlined US Army faction.

sounds like a bug. i'll try and get it fixed but i'm in the process of gearing up for finals with 3 active student film productions so this is a back burner item for me at the moment.

for the 2020 army, the infantry fireteam is missing an lmg gunner, so they only have 3 members. is that intentional or no? I have all dependencies loaded.

yeah IHPS and cover with M4 i feel is much more realistic when it comes to the faction

Maybe u can make some units with IHPS helmets but carrying m4 rifles as US army unit during 2023~2024 some unit such as scout,may use m7 spear with xm157
