It's also pretty lame that the immortal trait doesn't disable this by defualt, including that popular elf mod and supernatural. those devs definitely shld have spent the extra time to include this fix smh.

does this only work on brand new save files? installed it but my current character deep into my 3rd game ever still loses it at 27. i noticed some of his relatives dont but im having trouble wrapping my head around how to turn the persistent DNA string for him in the gamestate file to nullify his genetics predispostion bc i dont know how to turn that coding string into a copy pastable DNA string.

anyway i installed this mod and he's still losing his hair on reload of that savegame, is the mod broken or did i misunderstand one of the many ways to fix this? sorry, new to ck3, im very confused and i want my hot male heirs to keep their luscious hair (which some of his predecssors did up until about 47 but i just want it gone until at least age 55-60 OR i'll take no balding if someone cannot explain to me how to edit that into the correct files)

Thanks, I feel like the balding in this game is basically random patches of no hair and thick hair around it. It was better in CK2

for CBO user, no matter CBO old official version or unofficial working in v1.13 now, a quick turn off balding is to find CBO modding folder/common/genes/10_genes_special_misc.txt; where gene_balding_hair_effect = {} defines 3 stages of balding (index = 0/1/2); so simply hardcode index = 0 within baldness_stage_1 = {} and baldness_stage_2 = {} should work.

And just so you know, the bald gene for CBO is in the mod "CBO 1.12.1 Unofficial Fix".

@Kuoyoki, it's on LoversLab which, while it does have sex mods, also has a lot of non-sex mods. CBO is Character Body Overhaul, and it makes all the bodies in-game look vastly superior to the vanilla bodies, and it adds genitalia (you can still block nudity in-game if you want to). CBO adds genes for a ton of things (hip size, waist size, shoulder size, body fat, facial fat, hair loss, etc.). Don't think I can post the link here due to Steam's archaic rules about what is naughty, but just type in "character body overhaul" & "lovers lab" & "ck3" and the link will populate on Google.

CBO is found on an unsavory site, along with a lot of other...odd mods.

I knew they had added balding, but it only happened to my characters when they got old but now its happening to my 20-40 yr old characters imagine my horror when my young 23 yr old character started balding T-T

Any way you can patch this for Character Body Overhaul and the CBO 1.12.1 update? That also adds balding genes. Same fix by setting Index = 0 works there as well.
