Not sure exactly what was causing it, but I encountered a pretty consistent crash with the new traits for land generation specifically when I enabled the assassin class mod someone made. I don't know how to understand the crash log to know what exactly was going on though, and I have other mods enabled that could be contributing maybe?

I am a big fan of the mediterranean map and it's lesser version. I tried adding islands to them via the editor, but if I make little land dots in the map template it doesn't work at all. I admit not really knowing what I am doing.

Any chance that you could include a version of the mediterranean map with semi-randomly generated islands at some point? That would be soooo nice!

how can you attack things in the order plane?? im struggling to level up my heroes without getting sinner. playing a high culture.

@jenkem it is working, however the Wetlands and "Here there be monsters" traits dont show up creation. I can't say if its fixed with toll of seasons or intruige because I never play with those, but Ive never had any crashes from it

I don't know what exactly happend but ever since yesterday the two happenings "toll of the season" and "unfolding mysteries" give me crashes. Additionally it is crashes in which the game terminates but doesn't terminate in steam itself. The crashes itself don't happen during game-/world -creation but on the second turn like clockwork.

@Syntax It legitimately never occured to me that someone might prefer the default regenerating infestations. I've reverted that back to vanilla, untouched by any changes, while leaving the rest of the added infestations using my "Max of 1 per turn" rules

Hey Kaige - first of all thank you for this. I really like your map settings (ie lakes, Mediterranean, etc.). The thing that leaves me unwilling to use the mod is the changes you made to regenerating infestations. I love the PVE aspect of this, and play on massive or large maps. 1 infestation per turn doesn't make much of a threat with those settings.

Vanilla infestations are probably overtuned on these settings, but still make for a fun time. It would be amazing if you left the classic option untouched, and then perhaps, added a few more variants that scaled depending on map size. As far as I could tell there was no option left in the mod that was close to the vanilla feeling of constantly under pressure - as every one of the infestation settings you had spawned no more than one per turn.

Anyhow, thanks - and love the actual map properties you put in!

If you mod the traits to have higher or lower spawn times, is that retroactive to a save, or, do these scripts get cooked into the save file during world gen?

Less so on larger maps since it limits the game to only spawning 1 infestation per turn

plans to add Invasion Traits like how Toll of Seasons Trait does (I know that is a cosmic happening by default)? An example would be something like a Barbarian or Orc Horde Invasion

I just checked how you did the mediterranean maps, very cool! Is it possible to do the same for an underground map? You know the thing where you paint the map and the game has to follow these rules?

That makes sense. The Power from Slaughter effect isn't tagged as a positive or negative status effect, so most dispels don't work on it, but the Tranquil Pool effect works on everything, so it doesn't check for those tags

I was just playing a map and saw at least one of the reasons why the Slaughter buff is not permanent- on a map with the 'Wave of Tranquility' global periodic debuff removal, it removes the stacks. Seeing the 'Slaughter Enhancement x 49' (or whatever it's called) white dispel message was kind of chilling.

I've tried a "Plane of Chaos" map. Power From Slaughter's buff reset every so often. From what I understand it should be permanent

It is not a copy and paste of the current regenerating infestations. What you want to do with the modding tools is go into the folder where the mod is stored, find the .rpk for the specific trait you want to change, e.g. Astral Tear would be AstralTear.rpk. There you want to edit the script, e.g. Regenerating Spawners -- On New Round Trigger v2.0. Inside the script is a random number generator, for Astral Tear, it's 0 to 699, and an infestation is spawned if a 699 is rolled. Just make the 2nd number higher, like 0 to 1000.

Quick question, if I wanted to reduce the spawn rate of the infestations (current is every ten turns, if it's a copy/paste of the regenerating infestations), any headsup of how to do it? I am asking because I am playing massive maps and by turn 50 every single province has an infestation (just like with the original ones). This makes turn time around 10 minutes, which is a little bit tedious.

There is a mod for the 'normal' infestations, chich reduces their spawn to every 25 turns, but I don't think it'll work with your mod. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I tried the Place of Order trait and I can't tell which unit are sinner and which aren't.. I get high stacks just for clearing the resources node. 50 *permanent* stacks of sinner seem like a huge debuff for doing something that is core to the game

Here there be Monsters is literally Regenerating Infestations. The only thing it spawns in the base game is Monster Dens & Great Birds' Nests
