Yea... Hopefully the addon icon is enough of a warning.
Some maps may have metal textures but not actual be a metal material, which is why I've decided that adding such a feature isn't worth it.
Yea it's a game issue, I believe this issue even exists in Half Life 1.
Unfortunately that's how Garry's Mod lighting works, and it is most common with dynamic-lights, which this addon uses.
You are correct, however when this addon is used under the right circumstances, it can add a good amount of realism.

They both require Half Life 2.
It doesn't seem like it was in Half Life 1, or even 2.

I don't think that tracers are entities, meaning I couldn't easily add a dynamic light to them. It would most likely require specific code for each weapon to work / look good.
This addon is best for weapons that are intended to be bright, such as Star Wars weapons.
This is a cool idea, but would not be perfect considering that some maps/objects might have different materials using a metal texture.
Yes, this addon works with other addons too. This is because it uses the EntityFireBullets hook, which many weapon addons use too.
