If there is a reward, make it so that it's a bonus specifically for the character, that way there's variety with it. But also, gold just makes the most sense if we're taking it literally.

I kinda want a version that like makes it so every kill makes it slightly faster or when a player is killed either by another player or mob and there are other players it spawns and gets faster the longer the other player stays as a ghost causing chaos.

Suggestion:
You start with extra items (configurable):
1 stacks of wood, twigs, grass, gold, rock and flints.
If the chosen amount of items exceeds inventory, a chest will spawn near you when you spawn.

it should make you start with 5 stacks of gold
