Please make a fix so humans can't use the skin colors. Most of them get pink, purple and green skin colors and it looks retarded

Sadly not, although placing this mod above it might (I havent tried it) work? Idk this mod overwrites the human.xml file so if theres another mod that does the same it will have conflicts.

another issue I would probably face is, it would look incredibly weird on human characters lol

Tho I do not know if it should be in a clothing slot or the armour slot, if it was in the armour slot it would probably look odd if you were wearing clothing underneath and if you were to put it on the clothes slot it would all so probably look odd if you were to wear armour but I guess when it comes to witch slot to put it in it all depends on how it looks. :protogen_confused:

Hmm maybe 25% blunt Resistance, 25% Bullet Resistance, 25% Laceration Resistance, Basically body armour states it does not need to be strong just a little thing to wear if your up to it. :protogen_happy:

Now I know this is easy said then done but have you considers making protogen armour, as in the body plates you see them with but it is separate from the body that instead can be equipped in armour slot? :protogen_confused:

it should work unless a recent update broke it, the protogen body can be found in the head selection menu when creating a new character, there is a known bug which causes NPC's to have random skin tones.

Update: It worked, just had to do the re texture of the heads and the mask, and changed 1 word in the human xml. Thanks!

not really, in the Human.xml file theres a default tag called Gender, I just add another which I named species. The tags are either "protbody" or "humanbody", when selecting the protogen head, the tag is set to protbody, else its humanbody.

Then in the ragdoll creation script I basically run the texture path as %ModDir&/blah blah blah/[Gender][Species] or somethign along those lines I forgot

I legit just replaced the textures and in the ragdoll creation script thing I made it so instead of selecting the body texture based on gender it selects the body texture based on gender and species type

This is compatible with neurotrauma, it just needs to be placed above neurotrauma.

There is a couple of bugs like missing limbs not showing but I've fixed that in the latest version and will release it soon

I'll release the NHR version but I am going to have to fuck around a bit with this, possibly theres a better way of specifying what heads can have what color but I doubt theres any documentation for it

Yeah, that is also an issue, I ignored the husk thing because nanites, but some people might want that husk gameplay. I wonder if there's a way to inherit human afflictions.

You can release that if you want, like I said you can do whatever you want as long as credit is given although there are a few issues.

I have tried using NHR to combat the human color issues and provide more customisation but this is where the mod conflicts begin. Since you cannot use the default Human tag for characters now, any mod that adds afflictions in a specific way, e.g. Neurotrauma (or even the base Husk affliction) do not work anymore. I am still trying to find a better fix but i'll release the NHR version I was working on that had the customisation options as a submod ig.

I made a version of this mod that works with the Non-Human Species mod framework ( https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3232831837 ). I'm work on fixing some issues with it and making NPCs spawn as other races. But wondered if it was okay to release the mod or if you'd like to release your own version.
